Broadway in Bryan Park continued its 2015 program this week - and BroadwayWorld was on hand to capture the first day. This week's line-up included performances from the casts of ALLEGIANCE, AMAZING GRACE, SOMETHING ROTTEN!, A GENTLEMAN'S GUIDE TO LOVE AND MURDER, and RUTHLESS!. Pretty much all of New York is absolutely in love with SOMETHING ROTTEN!, a new musical comedy with music and lyrics by Wayne Kirkpatrick and Karey Kirkpatrick and a book by Karey Kirkpatrick and John O'Farrell. Now, Ghostlight Records release of the cheerful SOMETHING ROTTEN! (Original Broadway Cast Recording) shares the merriment with the world.

Alexander Hamilton, 'the ten-dollar Founding Father without a father,' comes to Broadway in the new musical HAMILTON, which just began previews last night at the Richard Rodgers Theatre (226 W. 46 St.). To celebrate the start of performances, we are flashing back to the show's road to the stage!

Music Theatre International Chairman and CEO Freddie Gershon and his wife Myrna hosted eight outstanding educators from schools and performing arts centers around the country for four days of classes and activities honoring them for working to make a difference for their students and communities through the process of staging musical theatre productions in their schools and educational theatre groups.  The event known as the 6th Annual FREDDIE G FELLOWSHIP culminated in a gala dinner at Chez Josephine on July 11th.  Joining the festivities were Broadway greats Bernadette Peters and Brian d'Arcy James.
