FoolsFURY Theater Company is proud to announce theNorth American premiere of The Unheard of World, a dark and eccentric fantasy by playwrightFabrice Melquiot translated from the French by foolsFURY company member Michelle Haner. A play for all ages, The Unheard of World tells the interwoven stories of a 200,000 year-old man, a girl half-swallowed by a bear, a little boy who refused to be born and a woman yearning, even in death, to have a child. The play opens in preview Friday, October 2 with a press opening the following evening, Saturday, October 3 at 8pm. The Unheard of World runs Thursdays - Saturdays through October 31. For the first time in two decades, The Kitchen will present a new edition of the acclaimed performance series And That's How the Rent Gets Paid, written by downtown legends Jeff Weiss and Richard C. Martinez. For three nights only (tonight, July 14, through July 16), Weiss and Martinez's thrilling serial drama, which follows a charming serial killer through the queer underbelly of New York City, will be brought to life by director and producer Brooke O'Harra with Kate Valk and Nicky Paraiso. The three-day marathon performance features an eclectic group of 50 performers including David Cale, Jennifer Miller, Keith McDermott, Becca Blackwell, Jess Barbagallo, Moe Angelos and Mark Bennett, among others. Weiss will appear in the production, in various cameo performances, throughout the three-day run.

Bernie Furshpan, operating partner of the Metropolitan Room served up Champagne at a reception to celebrate Julie Budd's Residency at the Cabaret. Lots of show biz friends turned out to congratulate Julie on her "new home". Julie's first show is on May 14th and Richard Skipper her publicist announced the the opening performance is almost sold out.

Arriving Here Now: A Wandering Whimsy is a free, interactive, and theatrical walking tour beginning at Golden Gate Park's Conservatory of Flowers and ending in the luscious Fuchsia Dell Gardens this weekend, September 13 and 14.
