The original play will explore the experiences of local immigrants - their arduous journeys, daily struggles and triumphs, and what it truly means to be an American immigrant in 2014. Faces of Change will be tonight and tomorrow, March 21 and 22 at 7:30pm in Asolo Rep's Cook Theatre.

Curio Theatre Company continues its season with Brian Friel's Dancing at Lughnasa. This TONY Award winner runs February 13-March 15. Opening night is Friday, February 21 at 8 p.m. All performances run Thursday-Saturday night at 8 p.m. Tickets cost $25-$20. Thus, when they announced Brian Friel's FAITH HEALER, a play I was unfamiliar with, I began to immerse myself in any scrap of material I could find about the play, knowing it was a show I ought to know. After catching the final preview performance earlier this week, I felt like the boat must have passed me by. Generally regarded as a masterpiece, Brian Friel's FAITH HEALER didn't impress me in the ways that it seemingly bowls everyone else over.
