AMERICAN PSYCHO, the American premiere of a new musical based on the novel by Bret Easton Ellis -- which celebrates the 25th anniversary of its publication this March -- began performances on Broadway at the Gerald Schoenfeld Theatre (236 West 45th Street) on Thursday, March 24, 2016. Goodman Theatre, under the leadership of Artistic Director Robert Falls and Executive Director Roche Schulfer, becomes the first Chicago theater to establish a facility dedicated to education and engagement programs next when it opens the new Alice Rapoport Center for Education and Engagement ('the Alice') next month.

Long Wharf Theatre  announces its 52nd season: a mix of new plays, a world premiere musical, a contemporary comedy, and a classic.

Among this year's nominees for Outstanding Musical Production by a Large Theater are WAITRESS and NATASHA, PIERRE, AND THE  GREAT COMET OF 1812, both at American Repertory Theatre. Tony winner Jessie Mueller and Denee Benton also each received nods for their respective performances. 

Tony and Drama Desk Award-winning actress Mary Louise Wilson will be the Guest of Honor at the 34th annual Elliot Norton Awards on Monday, May 23, 2016 at 7 PM, at Boston's Citi Performing Arts Center Shubert Theatre.  The ceremony will feature nominated musical performances, the awarding of The Elliot Norton Prize for Sustained Excellence, a post-ceremony party, and surprise appearances and performances.  Tickets for the much anticipated evening are on sale at the Citi Center Box Office, at www.citicenter.org or by calling (866) 348-9738.

Maberry Theatricals have announced a new wave of stars and dates for the New York premiere of WHITE RABBIT RED RABBIT, the internationally-acclaimed play by Nassim Soleimanpour.

Company of Fools announces its 21st season featuring five main stage productions, two play readings and a newly commissioned performance piece on contemplation that will be a part of one of The Center's BIG IDEA projects. The five main stage productions in the Company's 2016-2017 lineup include Grey Gardens, Art, Grounded, A Day in Hollywood/A Night in the Ukraine and Constellations.

The Goodman commissioned world premiere of CARLYLE by Thomas Bradshaw, directed by Benjamin Kamine, features an all-Chicago cast with James Earl Jones II in the titular role, joined by Patrick Clear (Janice's Father), Maureen Gallagher (Janice's Mother), Tim Rhoze (CARLYLE's Father), Levenix Riddle (Omar/Tyrone), Tiffany Scott (Janice/Sarah), Charlette Speigner (Anita Hill/Shaniqua) and Nate Whelden (Mark).

Theatrical legends Brian Dennehy and Mia Farrow have returned to Long Wharf Theatre in A.R. Gurney's poignant and enduring play Love Letters. Just in time for Roundabout's Broadway revival, Yale University Press has released a multimedia edition of Eugene O'Neill's LONG DAY'S JOURNEY INTO NIGHT, edited by William Davies King (professor of theater at the University of California at Santa Barbara), with Foreword by Broadway star Jessica Lange.
