Its first time ever at Music Circus, the sizzling, sexy Kander and Ebb smash hit Chicago is the final show of the 2013 Music Circus season, with an extended run at the Wells Fargo Pavilion from August 20 - 29. The 1996 revival of this hit musical, one of the cornerstones of the choreographic Broadway legacy of Bob Fosse, won 6 Tony Awards and is still running on Broadway. With a plot centered on murderesses Roxie Hart and Velma Kelly, on death row together fighting for the fame that may keep them from the gallows, the show features a number of popular songs including "All That Jazz," "Razzle Dazzle" and "Cell Block Tango."

This August, the surprise hit of the season, Donna Moore's Cougar The Musical, celebrated its one year anniversary Off-Broadway. Directed and choreographed by Tony Nominated Lynne Taylor Corbett, Cougar The Musical, began performances on August 10 and opened on August 26, 2012. Check out photos from the celebration below!

This Thursday, August 9, 106.7 LITE FM's Delilah will emcee this week's Broadway in Bryant Park alongside the cast of I Forgive You Ronald Reagan including PJ Benjamin, Danielle Faitelson, Robert Emmet Lunney and Patricia Richardson. After auditioning performers in New York City, Los Angeles and Sacramento, California Musical Theatre Artistic Director Glenn Casale has announced casting for the 63rd Music Circus season, including Broadway veterans, Tony nominees and audience favorites from previous Music Circus seasons. The five-show season at the Wells Fargo Pavilion includes The Wizard of Oz, Show Boat, Sugar, The King and I and the Music Circus premiere of Chicago.

Tony Nominee Ms. Brenda Braxton originated the role of Clarity Jones in Donna Moore's surprise Off-Broadway hit Cougar the Musical and will reprise her role now that her successful tour of Thoroughly Modern Millie has come to an end. Now in its ninth month, Cougar the Musical, continues to offer new blocks of tickets for the summer, now through July 27, 2013.
