A.C.T. Announces Performance Schedule for 2019–20 Season

American Conservatory Theater (A.C.T.) Artistic Director Pam MacKinnon and Executive Director Jennifer Bielsteinannounced the performance schedule for the previously announced productions that will make up the company's 2019-20 season. In addition, A.C.T. announced new weekday performance times for Geary Theater productions for the 2019-20 season.

Theatre UNO Showcases the Workplace in GLORIA

Branden Jacob-Jenkins's play is a dramatic comedy focusing on the lives of working Americans and dynamics in the workplace. Directed by David Hoover, this funny, trenchant, and powerful play follows an ambitious group of editorial assistants at a notorious Manhattan magazine, each of whom hopes for a starry life of letters and a book deal before they turn thirty. But when n ordinary humdrum workday becomes anything but, the stakes for who will get to tell their own story becomes higher than ever.

Capital Stage Launches Season with AN OCTOROON

Capital Stage will launch its 2017-18 Season: Future Tense with the Obie Award Winner and Sacramento Premiere of An Octoroon by Branden Jacob-Jenkins. This poignant adaptation of a 19th century anti-slavery melodrama will be directed by star of stage and screen, and UCLA's professor of Theatre, Film and Television, Judith Moreland. An Octoroon will be the first production of Capital Stage's 13th Season, and will run from August 30 - October 1, 2017 with a Press Opening on Saturday, September 2, 2017 at 8pm.

INDECENT's Paula Vogel to Offer Playwriting Boot Camp at Vineyard Theatre

The Tony-nominated playwright Paula Vogel (INDECENT) - a Pulitzer Prize winning dramatist and one of the nation's preeminent teachers of playwriting -- will offer one of her trademark sessions on playwriting, which she calls BOOT CAMPS, on Monday, May 22nd at the Vineyard Theatre (108 E. 15 St.) starting at 10 a.m., it has been announced by Vineyard's artistic directors Douglas Aibel and Sarah Stern.
