Emily Skeggs, Trae Harris, Rachel Nicks & Samantha Soule to Star in Signature Theatre's AND I AND SILENCE

Signature Theatre has announced casting is confirmed and tickets are now on sale for the U.S. Premiere of AND I AND SILENCE by Naomi Wallace, directed by Caitlin McLeod. All tickets for the initial run of the production are $25 as part of the Signature Ticket Initiative: A Generation of Access. The production runs August 5 through September 14, 2014 with an August 25 opening night in The Romulus Linney Courtyard Theatre at The Pershing Square Signature Center (480 West 42nd Street between 9th and 10th Avenues).

Waterwell's SALOME OF THE MOON Opens Tonight as Part of PPAS New Works Lab

Waterwell, one of the Village Voice's Best Arguments for Devised Theater and creators of GOODBAR and #9, continues its annual series of new play workshops at the Professional Performing Arts School (PPAS) in Manhattan with Salome of the Moon, a new play by Nick Jones and directed by Knud Adams. The production opens tonight and continues through Saturday, May 10th at 7p, with an additional Saturday matinee at 2p.

The Off-Broadway League today announced nominations in 18 categories and one special award for the 2014 Lucille Lortel Awards for Outstanding Achievement Off-Broadway. The Lortel Awards will be handed out on Sunday, May 4, 2014 at NYU Skirball Center beginning at 7:00pm EST, and hosted by acclaimed husband and wife actors and comedians, Megan Mullally and Nick Offerman. This year's event will once again benefit The Actors Fund.

Ken Barnett, Susan Bott & More Star in AND BABY MAKES SEVEN at New Ohio Theater, Now thru 4/12

New Ohio Theatre Artistic Director Robert Lyons in association with Purpleman Theater have announced casting for Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright Paula Vogel's And Baby Makes Seven. Marc Stuart Weitz will direct ensemble including Ken Barnett (Wonderful Town, Julie Taymor's The Green Bird) as Peter, Susan Bott (Julie Kramer's The Best of Everything) as Ruth and Constance Zaytoun (Moby Pomerance's Broken Hands) as Anna. And Baby Makes Seven is an uproarious and timely comedy that has not been seen professionally in New York in 20 years. Performances will take place today, March 11-April 12 at the New Ohio Theatre (154 Christopher Street, between Washington and Greenwich Streets). Critics are welcome as of March 19 for an opening of March 23.

Performances will take place today, March 11-April 12 at the New Ohio Theatre (154 Christopher Street, between Washington and Greenwich Streets). Opening night is set for Sunday, March 23 at 7:00pm.

NATASHA, PIERRE & THE GREAT COMET OF 1812's Film Plans Put on Hold

As BroadwayWorld reported yesterday, NATASHA, PIERRE & THE GREAT COMET OF 1812, named one of the Best Musicals of 2013 by The New York Times and one of Time Magazine's Top 10 Musicals of 2013, just closed at Kazino (45th Street between Times Square and 8th Avenue). Additionally, yesterday was the deadline to give to the Kickstarter that was set up to help fund the filming of the show, and unfortunately the project fell short of its $250,000 goal with $37,889 raised in total. The producers of the show just released the following statement: 'We are so appreciative of the fans who supported the film of The Great Comet. While we remain excited at the prospect of capturing The Great Comet on film, the coordination of shooting schedules at this time proved extremely difficult. Therefore, we have decided to postpone the film plans until a later date. Any pledges by our backers on our Kickstarter campaign will not be used.'

NATASHA, PIERRE & THE GREAT COMET OF 1812, named one of the Best Musicals of 2013 by The New York Times and one of Time Magazine's Top 10 Musicals of 2013, will close today at Kazino (45th Street between Times Square and 8th Avenue). In addition, today is the final day to give to the Kickstarter that was set up to help fund the filming of the show. The current tally, as of 8:30am, is 235 backers, who have pledged $36,899 of the $250,000 goal, with 15 hours to go.
