Acting Up Stage Company presents the Toronto premiere of the critically acclaimed and Tony award-winning musical - GREY GARDENS.  GREY GARDENS will run in Toronto from Friday, February 19th to Sunday March 6th (Opening night February 22) at the Berkeley Street Theatre Downstairs (26 Berkeley St.), having its first preview 40 years to the day that the film premiered theatrically in the U.S.

The eagerly awaited European premiere of the Broadway musical GREY GARDENS, based on an iconic 1975 documentary, tells the spectacular real life rise and fall of Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis's aunt and cousin, Edith and Edie Bouvier Beale. The production began a 6-week season in The Large at Southwark Playhouse from on 2 January and officially opens tonight 7 January 2016.

GREY GARDENS at Southwark Playhouse features Sheila Hancock,Jenna Russell, with Billy Boyle, Jeremy Legat, Ako Mitchell, Rachel Anne Rayham, Aaron Sidwell and Alana Hinge. Also cast are Grace Jenkins, Rebecca Nardin and Eleanor Waldron.  BroadwayWorld has a first look below!

Casting has been announced for GREY GARDENS at Southwark Playhouse.  The cast features Sheila Hancock, Jenna Russell, with Billy Boyle, Jeremy Legat, Ako Mitchell, Rachel Anne Rayham, Aaron Sidwell and Alana Hinge.  Also cast are Grace Jenkins, Rebecca Nardin and Eleanor Waldron.

A first video is released today from the eagely anticipated European premiere of the Broadway musical Grey Gardens.

On Monday night, the Broadway at Birdland concert series kicked off a four-night run starring Tony Award-winning actress/singer Christine Ebersole and Grammy Award-winning composer/pianist/singer Billy Stritch in OUR FAVORITE THINGS. The show will run through Thanksgiving, Thursday, November 26, with shows nightly at 6pm. BroadwayWorld has photos from the concert below!

BroadwayWorld has just learned that GREY GARDENS has replaced TITANIC in the 2016 line-up at LA's Ahmanson Theatre. The production will be led by Rachel York and Betty Buckley, who both starred in a production at Bay Street Theatre earlier this year.

GREY GARDENS brings the story of the reclusive Bouvier Beale's, made famous in the 1975 documentary/movie of the same name, to the stage for an entertaining look into a very bizarre world.

Today in 2006, Grey Gardens opened at the Walter Kerr Theatre, where it ran for 307 performances. Grey Gardens is a musical with book by Doug Wright, music by Scott Frankel, and lyrics by Michael Korie, based on the 1975 documentary of the same title about the lives of Edith Ewing Bouvier Beale ('Big Edie') and her daughter Edith Bouvier Beale ('Little Edie') by Albert and David Maysles. The Beales were Jacqueline Kennedy's aunt and cousin, respectively. Set at Grey Gardens, the Bouviers' mansion in East Hampton, New York, the musical tracks the progression of the two women's lives from their original status as rich and socially polished aristocrats to their eventual largely isolated existence in a home overrun by cats and cited for repeated health code violations.
