Bernie Williams Makes Cafe Carlyle Debut, 3/6-10

Bernie Williams, Latin Grammy-nominated jazz musician and former New York Yankees World Series Champ, makes his Caf Carlyle debut, Bernie Williams & Friends, March 6-10. Bernie Williams, the New York Yankees center fielder for 16 years, is best known for his long and storied career in pinstripes a career that includes four World Series championships, five appearances on the American League All-Star Team, four Gold Glove Awards and the 1996 American League Championship Series Most Valuable Player Award. Since he's hung up his cleats, he's had time to devote to his other great passion in life jazz guitar. Now that he's out of the game, he's getting back to his musical roots. His Caf debut will include an eclectic mix of Latin rhythms, smooth jazz, blues and standards.

Ute Lemper Returns To Cafe Carlyle

Ute Lemper returns to Cafe Carlyle with an all-new show, Rendezvous With Marlene, February 27 March 3. Rendezvous With Marlene is based on a 3-hour phone call and exchange between Marlene Dietrich and Ute in 1988. After receiving the French Moli re Award for her performance in Cabaret in Paris, Ute had sent a postcard to Marlene, who had lived at 12 Avenue de Montaigne since 1979, essentially apologizing for all the media attention comparing her to Marlene Dietrich. Ute was just at the beginning of her career in theatre and music, whereas Marlene looked back on a long, fulfilled life of movies, music, incredible collaborations, love stories and stardom. Ute considers it a secret gift to have heard Marlene talk about her life, her work and style, her love for the poet Rilke, her complicated relationship with Germany, her sorrow and her fascinations.

Acclaimed singer-songwriter Hamilton Leithauser makes his Caf Carlyle debut, January 16-27. The native New Yorker's recently released single Heartstruck (Wild Hunger) feat. Angel Olsen was declared a gorgeously surreal version of early-1960s baroque-pop by Pitchfork. The release marked the first music from Leithauser since his 2016 collaboration with Rostam.

Isaac Mizrahi returns to Caf Carlyle with an all-new show, Isaac Mizrahi: Moderate to Severe, January 30 February 10. Mizrahi will perform classics by Charles Aznavour, Blondie and Bob Dylan. He'll be joined by his band of (handsome, thin, single) (maybe not single) jazz musicians, led by Ben Waltzer. Mizrahi will tell all new irreverent stories and has a fresh list of songs, not to mention a fresh stock of swag items to regift!
