The ground-breaking musical hits a new landmark this summer when it celebrates its 10th anniversary on Wednesday, July 31, 2013 with a 'Thank Q' to fans for the decade of laughter and love: starting at 10 a.m., the first 100 patrons in line can purchase $10 seats (cash only) to the special 7 p.m. 10th anniversary performance at New World Stages (340 W. 50 St.), where AVENUE Q has performed for the past four years following its triumphant six-year run on Broadway.

Music Box Theatre to Screen Verdi Concert as Part of MusicEmotion Series, 6/23

The Music Box shows off the full power of its newly remodeled, state-of-the-art second screening room ("The Mini-Music Box") with MusicEmotion: Syphony in Cinema, a series of captured live musical matinees broadcast from Milan's renowned La Scala opera house for an Old World musical experience in high definition. First up: an open-air Verdiconcert, including his first hit opera Nabucco, staged at Austria's St. Margarethen Opera Festival. Single Tickets for 2013-14 Texas Performing Arts Season to Go On Sale 6/14

Single tickets to the 2013-2014 Texas Performing Arts season go on sale Friday, June 14th. In celebration, tickets to all season performances will be discounted for one day only. From midnight - 11:59 p.m. on Friday, June 14th, single tickets to all 2013-2014 season performances will be priced at 15% off face value. Kat Ramsburg to Star in 5th Avenue Theatre's HAIRSPRAY; Full Cast Announced!

The 5th Avenue Theatre has announced complete casting for Hairspray in Concert, featuring some of Seattle's favorite musical theatre stars and the powerful voices of the 250-member Seattle Men's Chorus. Celebrating the 10th anniversary of Hairspray's 2002 Broadway debut, this unique concert event will play for six very special performances of glorious and irreverent John Waters-inspired wackiness (Friday-Sunday, June 20-23). In 2002, Hairspray was The 5th Avenue Theatre's first world premiere musical to head for Broadway where it won the 2003 Tony Award for Best Musical and launched The 5th's unprecedented track record for sending new works to New York. Now the smash hit musical comes home, as audiences have never seen it before.

Playwright Nell Benjamin and Explorer Sylvia Earle Set for Talk After MTC's THE EXPLORERS CLUB, 5/31

On Friday, May 31, Tony nominated writer Nell Benjamin and legendary deep-sea explorer Sylvia Earle - one of the first women admitted to the real Explorers Club in New York - will engage in a conversation to talk about their experiences in their respective fields, following the 8 PM performance of Manhattan Theatre Club's world premiere production of THE EXPLORERS CLUB, a madcap comedy now in previews at MTC at New York City Center - Stage I (131 West 55th Street). National YoungArts Foundation Opens 2014 Applications; Launches Design Arts Program

The National YoungArts Foundation (YoungArts), a non-profit that recognizes and supports the nation's most talented young artists in the visual, literary, and performing arts, has announced that its 2014 application will be available online at http://www.youngarts.org/apply from May 31, 2013 through October 18, 2013. This year, students with an interest in architecture and design are also encouraged to apply for the inaugural YoungArts Design Arts program.
