The New York Times has confirmed that LOVE NEVER DIES will now aim for a spring opening on Broadway due to Andrew Lloyd Webber's health problems. LOVE NEVER DIES was scheduled to open on Broadway on November 11, 2010. Reportedly, Webber is experiencing 'post-operative problems' from his recent treatment for prostate cancer, a rep for the production told the New York Times today. As BroadwayWorld previously reported, speculation of a delay began weeks ago following the tally of mixed reviews for the production, which opened at the Adelphi Theatre in the West End on March 9.

The Denver engagement of the MARY POPPINS NORTH AMERICAN TOUR opens tonight, Friday March 5 at 7:30pm at the Buell Theatre, performing for five weeks through Sunday, April 4.

Recently, The Independent has spoken with Broadway veterans Jerry Mitchell and Jack O'Brien, who are currently working together on the West End production of LOVE NEVER DIES. The two have worked on a number of projects together, including The Full Monty, Dirty Rotten Scoundrels, and Hairspray.

In a new German TV interview with the composer, Andrew Lloyd Webber cites both his health (he beat prostate cancer last year) and his new London production of The Wizard of Oz as potentially forcing the show to be delayed to 'January or February or maybe even later in the Spring.' He says that nothing has been decided yet and it all will come down to his health and the number of the hours in the day.

Word is coming out this morning that the LOVE NEVER DIES opening on Broadway, which was scheduled for November 11, 2010 might be pushed into January/February or even to Spring in New York.

Producers Cameron Mackintosh and Thomas Schumacher are pleased to announce full casting for the Atlanta engagement of MARY POPPINS. Atlanta's most eagerly anticipated stage production will begin performances at the Fox Theatre on Thursday, April 29 for a limited engagement of 3 weeks through Sunday, May 16. The opening night is Friday, April 30 at 8 p.m.

As BroadwayWorld previously reported, the cast album for LOVE NEVER DIES premiered on the UK National charts at Number 10, the production announced today. Of those international markets where the album has been released it has also charted well, such as in Greece (Number 1), Taiwan (Number 14), New Zealand (Number 8) and Denmark (Number 15). Decca Broadway announced today that it will release two versions of the new Andrew Lloyd Webber musical LOVE NEVER DIES. The release of both, a regular and deluxe edition, will be made available March 9th.
