A new stage musical, Punk Rock Girl, is in development featuring a score of popular songs written and made famous by female artists and female-fronted bands including Pat Benatar, Bikini Kill, Blondie, Echosmith, Avril Lavigne, Pink, TraLaLa, Yeah Yeah Yeahs and more, and also featuring the title song by The Dead Milkmen.

Premium network EPIX has greenlit Punk, a four-part docuseries from executive producer John Varvatos. Varvatos brings his passion and deep connection to the roots of the PUNK movement to the series, partnering with filmmaker Derik Murray's Network Entertainment to produce the quintessential story of punk. The series is currently in production, and will premiere on EPIX on March 11, 2019 at 10 PM.

Last week indie-pop artist Gus Dapperton kicked off his sold out North American tour and shared a short film for his newest single 'World Class Cinema'. The video, co-directed with his longtime collaborator Matthew Dillon Cohen, takes the standard music video format and transformed it into a cinematic escape, with Dapperton portraying several iconic film moments throughout the short film. They also made sure to showcase Gus's signature dance moves, while Bria Vanaite, from the indie breakout film 'The Florida Project', makes a memorable appearance at the end of the video.
