Billy Crystal will bring 700 SUNDAYS, his Tony® Award-winning Broadway blockbuster, to Miami as part of a six city American tour of limited engagements. 700 SUNDAYS, a play performed and written by Mr. Crystal with additional content by Alan Zweibel is directed by two-time Tony Award winner Des McAnuff. 700 Sundays comes to the Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts of Miami-Dade County for 6 performances only beginning Tuesday, December 8 through Sunday, December 13, 2009 presented by the Adrienne Arsht Center and Broadway Across America - Miami. General tickets range from $45.00 - $85.00 and Premium tickets are $200.00 not including applicable service charges. Broadway Across America Season Ticket Holders and Arsht Center Members will receive the first opportunity to purchase tickets in the near future.

It was brought to BroadwayWorld.com's attention on Wednesday via a shocking amount of emails to our 'Twitter Watch' inbox, that one of the more than 200 Broadway-related Tweeters that we were picking up the feed of, was a casting director, Daryl Eisenberg, who was 'tweeting' during auditions with her take on some of the performers (mentioning none by name) with live comments, both good and bad, after they'd auditioned.

La Jolla Playhouse Conservatory Participants Reflect On Their Summer Of Theatre Training

La Jolla Playhouse Conservatory students, grades 10-12, have just completed the six-week summer program that allows them to hone their skills and develop into the theatre artists of tomorrow. Designed for performers who want to pursue a professional career in theatre, the program offers them the opportunity to work with seasoned theatre professionals, ultimately helping to prepare them for a college theatre program. The 2009 program ran June 29th - August 7th.

La Jolla Playhouse is pleased to present The 39 Steps, directed by Maria Aitken and adapted for the stage by Patrick Barlow, based on an original concept by Simon Corble and Nobby Dimon, based on the book by John Buchan. The production will run August 11 - September 13 in the Mandell Weiss Theatre (media night: Sunday August 16 at 7:00 pm). The 39 Steps will make its West Coast premiere at La Jolla Playhouse and Seattle Repertory Theatre before starting on a national tour.

La Jolla Playhouse announced today the addition of the world-premiere musical Bonnie & Clyde, to its 2009-10 season, replacing The Big Time. This production features music by Frank Wildhorn (Jekyll & Hyde, The Scarlet Pimpernel), lyrics by Tony Award-winner Don Black (Sunset Boulevard, Song and Dance), book by Ivan Menchell (The Cemetery Club, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang), and direction by Jeff Calhoun (Deaf West's Big River and Pippin, Grease!). Bonnie & Clyde will run November 10 - December 20, 2009 in the Playhouse's Mandell Weiss Theatre.
