Labyrinth Theater Company, the award-winning, nationally renowned theater company, has announced its lineup of players for this year's signature annual gala, CELEBRITY CHARADES Goes Medieval, which will take place on Monday, November 16 at Capitale (130 Bowery).
Using heart-wrenching emails from soldiers in Iraq along with TV news footage and Rumi & WW I poetry, SANCTUARY a new play written and performed by theater and film actress Susanne Sulby, will play a limited engagement January 3 through 23rd at Off Broadway's Lion Theatre (410 West 42nd Street). SANCTUARY will have an official press opening Thursday, January 7th at 6:30PM.
On November 16 & 17, Performance Space 122 (PS122) is presenting two special nights of Eric Bogosian's 100 Monologues series to benefit PS122's move next year back into their home in the East Village.

Tim Dang, Producing Artistic Director of East West Players in Los Angeles, CA, is the 2015 recipient of the Zelda Fichandler Award, an award to recognize an outstanding director or choreographer who is transforming the regional arts landscape through imaginative, brave work in theatre. The $5,000 award, given by Stage Directors and Choreographers Foundation, heralds both accomplishment to date and promise for the future, and lauds deep commitment to a community.
The 52nd Street Project makes a difference in the lives of Hell's Kitchen (Clinton) kids by pairing them with theater professionals who mentor them through the creation of original theater. For its One-on-One series, the its cornerstone acting program, the Project takes a group of ten kids out of town to a country retreat for a week in the summer. Each child is assigned a playwright who is charged to write a musical specifically for that child. The shows are rehearsed over the course of the week and performed informally for the community in the retreat setting. Upon returning to Manhattan, the plays are performed at the Project's Five Angels Theater (789 Tenth Avenue, 2nd floor, NYC), supported by professional designers and crews who volunteer their services.
