Forget about your coffee this Friday morning - wake up with American Idiot on Good Morning America! On July 16th, the cast of American Idiot will be performing in Central Park for GMA's Summer Concert Series starting at 8:30 a.m. To catch the performance live, audience members are welcome to enter the park starting at 6 a.m.

92nd Street Y announced today that Jordan Roth, President of Jujamcyn Theaters, will return with his multi-evening 'Broadway Talks' conversation series at 92nd Street Y in fall 2010, following a popular and successful first season. Each evening will feature an illuminating discussion between Mr. Roth and a current Broadway star. Fall guests include Billie Joe Armstrong & Michael Mayer (Creators of Broadway's American Idiot), David Hyde Pierce (La Bête) and the legendary Elaine Stritch (A Little Night Music).
AMERICAN IDIOT Cast Hosts Donation Drive At Housing Works Tonight, 7/7

According to their Twitter cast members of AMERICAN IDIOT will appear at Housing Works July 7 between 6 and 8pm. Attendees are encouraged to donate clothes to the organization and will have the opportunity to win tickets to the show as well as meet the cast.

The video game 'Green Day: Rock Band,' which is the latest installment in the popular Rock Band series, was released today, the official Rock Band website announced. The game's producers include Harmonix, MTV Games, Reprise/Warners Bros. Records. Green Day's music is currently featured on Broadway in AMERICAN IDIOT.

Shows Developed At Berkeley Rep Receive Outer Critics Circle Awards

Today, with the announcement of its annual awards, the Outer Critics Circle recognized two shows developed at Berkeley Repertory Theatre. Carrie Fisher won the award for Outstanding Solo Performance with Wishful Drinking, and Kevin Adams of American Idiot was honored for Outstanding Lighting Design. The Outer Critics Circle - the official organization of writers covering New York theatre for out-of-town newspapers, national publications, and other media beyond Broadway - has given awards since 1950.
