The New York Times is reporting that Fela!, Bill T. Jones' electric and emotional musical about Nigerian political activist and Afrobeat creator Fela Kuti, is coming to Broadway to the Eugene O'Neill theatre with previews to begin October 19th and an opening night for September 23rd.

The producers of Spring Awakening announced today that Jake Esptein, best known for his work as 'Craig' on the hit television series 'Degrassi: The Next Generation,' will take over the lead role of 'Melchior Gabor' in the national touring production of the Tony Award-winning musical, beginning July 7 at the Kennedy Center in Washington, DC.
Spring Awakening will end performances at the Novello Theatre today, May 30th. The musical was originally set to run until October 31st, 2009, but has closed earlier than expected.
Kitty Lunn will present her Infinity Dance Theater, a non-traditional company for dancers with and without disabilities, in new works by Peter Pucci, Heidi Latsky, Carla Vannucchi, and Ms. Lunn, along with an Infinity favorite by Robert Koval from the company's first season in 1995.
