Vacillating between Hip-Hop, Soul, Electronica, Reggae, World and every kind of rhythm in between, sultry voiced Jennifer Johns crafts stirring tunes that are both heart-rending and head-bobbing. The standout songstress has toured with and opened shows for some of the most respected names in the industry including Lauryn Hill, Black Eyed Peas, Mos Def, Common, KRS-1, Ziggy Marley, Les Nubian, Blackalicious, Zap Mama, Res, Capelton, Bebel Gilberto, MC Lyte & Black Thought of The Roots, to name a few.

An internationally touring singer-songwriter (Canada, UK, Paris, Netherlands, Caribbean, Japan, and Hawaii), Sparlha Swa co-starred in Bill T Jones' production of Fela Off-Broadway last year and also composed the score for the lauded short film Pariah (Sundance '08). Sparlha offers us a Folk, Soul, Alternative music that is honest and evocative. Mixing impeccable vocals and haunted modal chords, her songs speak to and about the journey of the human spirit. $12
