London Evening Standard theatre critic Nicholas de Jongh's Plague Over London, which was first presented at the tiny Finbourgh Theatre in Earls Court will transfer to the West End. It begins a limited engagement at the Duchess Theatre on February 11th, 2009.

EQUUS will conclude its 22-week engagement as scheduled on Broadway today, February 8th, 2009. The play opened in September 2008 at the Broadhurst Theatre, marking the Broadway debut of Daniel Radcliffe. Mr. Radcliffe stars in the revival of Peter Shaffer's play opposite Tony Award winner Richard Griffiths ('The History Boys').

The first preview for Guys and Dolls will now take place on Thursday, February 5th at Broadway's Nederlander Theatre (208 West 41st Street). The production is delaying its first preview to allow for an extra day of needed technical rehearsal. Audience members scheduled for the February 4th preview performance will be contacted and accommodated for another performance.

Producer Howard Panter for Ambassador Theatre Group and co-producers Tulchin/Bartner/Jenkins, Bill Kenwright, Northwater Entertainment, Darren Bagert, and Tom Gregory announced the complete cast and design team for the new Broadway production of the greatest musical comedy GUYS AND DOLLS. The first joint Broadway project by two-time Tony Award winning director Des McAnuff and choreographer Sergio Trujillo since their collaboration on the Tony Award winning musical Jersey Boys, GUYS AND DOLLS will begin previews on February 3, 2009 at Broadway's newly refurbished Nederlander Theatre (208 West 41st Street). The Sun is reporting that actor actor Zac Efron may be considering the role of Alan Strang in EQUUS. At the London premiere of High School Musical 3 Efron was quoted as saying, 'You know that Daniel Radcliffe role on Broadway? Well it's been mentioned.'
Niki Evans, Former 'X Factor' Competitor, Joins 'Blood Brothers' Cast

What's on Stage is reporting that Niki Evans, a contestant on iTV's series 'X-Factor' will be playing Mrs. Johnson in West End production of Blood Brothers, running at the Pheoenix Theatre, starting November 3rd, 2008. The show recently extended its contract with the Pheonix where it has been running since 1991. Evans is expected to take on the role for six months.
