The producers of the Tony Award winning musical comedy NICE WORK IF YOU CAN GET IT are pleased to announce that Emmy and Tony Award winner Blythe Danner will join the production for 12 weeks only beginning Tuesday, December 18th and continuing through March 10th. Ms. Danner will assume the role of Millicent Winter, the mother of Matthew Broderick's character Jimmy Winter. The role is currently played by Academy Award winner Estelle Parsons, who will play her final performance on Sunday, December 16.
On the evening of October 27, 2012, an almost full-capacity house at Segerstrom Hall in Costa Mesa definitely had two reasons to celebrate: first, that five-time Grammy-nominated singer/composer Michael Feinstein is back in concert in Orange County; and, second, that he's brought with him an awesome, 17-piece big band to perform an enjoyable musical tribute to Frank Sinatra. The one-night-only concert -- part of the Segerstrom Center for the Arts' 2012-2013 Cabaret series -- didn't disappoint, bringing the O.C. an entertaining mixture of rousing jazz-swing numbers, heartfelt ballads, and amusingly-delivered historical facts about the legendary icon, with Feinstein serving as both charming lecturer and talented headliner all in the same breath.
The Original Broadway Cast Recording for the Tony-winning new musical comedy NICE WORK IF YOU CAN GET IT will be available for digital download on Tuesday, September 25 and on CD Tuesday, October 30th. Two-time Tony Award winner Judy Kaye, currently starring in the Tony-winning hit musical comedy NICE WORK IF YOU CAN GET IT, will sing the national anthem at Citi Field on Thursday, August 9th for the New York Mets game against the Miami Marlins at 12 p.m. NICE WORK IF YOU CAN GET IT, featuring music and lyrics by George Gershwin and Ira Gershwin and a book by two-time Tony Award-winner Joe DiPietro, stars Matthew Broderick and four time Tony Award nominee Kelli O'Hara. The production is directed and choreographed by three-time Tony Award-winner Kathleen Marshall. The production is now playing at Broadway's Imperial Theatre (249 West 45th Street).
In its place for the Mirvish subscription season, the tour of ANYTHING GOES - featuring Rachel York as Reno Sweeney - will play a limited engagement next summer from July 16 to August 18.
The producers of the Tony-winning hit musical comedy NICE WORK IF YOU CAN GET IT just announced that Will Chase (NBC's "Smash") will take on the role of Jimmy Winter from Tuesday, August 21st to Sunday, August 26th only while two-time Tony Award winner Matthew Broderick is on vacation. Broderick returns to the show full time on Tuesday, August 28th.

Scheduled to run through August 5th, the musical must end on Sunday, July 8th, 2012. Today, June 20, Roundabout Theatre's production of Anything Goes celebrated its 500th Broadway performance. This acclaimed production marks the second longest Broadway run in Roundabout's history, following its beloved revival of Cabaret. As previously announced, the show, which won the 2011 Tony Award for Best Revival of a Musical, will shutter on August 5, 2012.

The producers of NICE WORK IF YOU CAN GET IT have announced that Tony nominee Erin Dilly will take on the role of Billie Bendix from Sunday, July 15th to Sunday, July 29th only while four-time Tony nominee Kelli O'Hara brings FAR FROM HEAVEN to Williamstown Theatre Festival prior to a 2013 Playwrights Horizons run. O'Hara returns to the show full time on Tuesday, July 31st.
