Camille A. Brown and Andrea Miller and Kate Weare and Monica Bill Barnes present two programs from August 9-14, 2010 at The Joyce Theater. 175 Eighth Avenue, NYC. Ms. Brown's new ensemble and Ms. Miller's company Gallim Dance share the first program. The second program features the Kate Weare Company and Monica Bill Barnes & Company. On Saturday, August 14 at 2pm, all four choreographers will present a family-friendly program featuring excerpts of works in the regular programs. Jacob's Pillow kicks off Festival 2010 on June 19 with the Season Opening Gala, the world-renowned dance organization's biggest annual fundraising event. Following an exclusive Gala performance in the Ted Shawn Theatre and the presentation of the prestigious Jacob's Pillow Dance Award to choreographer and director Bill T. Jones, guests are treated to dinner and dancing to live music. This evening is widely celebrated as a signature summer event in the Berkshires and attracts a multitude of dance lovers, celebrities, government dignitaries, and visitors from around the world every year.

Jacob's Pillow announces its 2010 full season calendar, including more than 200 free performances, talks, photography exhibits, tours, and events. Free event highlights include the Blake's Barn exhibit Lois Greenfield: Imagined Moments, featuring Greenfield's signature dance photography, and 'Let's Dance!' a new community event on July 4 with free dance classes and workshops for teens and adults. PillowTalks, held Thursdays at 5pm and Saturdays at 4pm, include Virginia Johnson, recently named Artistic Director of Dance Theatre of Harlem (June 24), choreographer/director Bill T. Jones (July 22), and the return of Pulitzer Prize winner Jules Feiffer (July 31). Inside/Out performance highlights include the all-female hip-hop group Decadancetheatre (July 7), the dancers of The School at Jacob's Pillow's first ever Tap Program (July 10), alumnus of The School at Jacob's Pillow and Artistic Director of his own ensemble, Avi Scher (July 23), and ¡Flamenco Revolución! (August 27).

Jacob's Pillow announces today that Executive Director Ella Baff will soon present the fourth annual Jacob's Pillow Dance Award to Bill T. Jones, acclaimed choreographer, co-founder, and artistic director of Bill T. Jones/Arnie Zane Dance Company, Tony Award winner for Spring Awakening, and director of the current Broadway hit FELA! The Jacob's Pillow Dance Award honors outstanding visionary artists and carries a prize of $25,000, one of the largest cash awards in the dance industry, to be used by the choreographer to enhance their artistry in any way they choose.

Asolo Rep announces additional casting for award-winning Managing Maxine, Janece Shaffer's new play that takes a straight forward look at sex, love and life after 70. The cast features Howard Elfman as Louis, the role he originated last season in the world premiere of Managing Maxine at the Alliance Theatre in Atlanta.

The Hartt School Community Division will offer a Modern Dance Master Class with Katie Stevinson-Nollet, Artistic Director of Full Force Dance Theatre (FFDT), Hartt's dance company in residence, this February.
