TheatreLAB has announce dan inaugural season of plays that aim to excite and enlighten! Four productions will be presented - a new American comedy about a young woman hoping that change will bring her happiness, a recent Broadway hit about the painful struggles to balance faith and humanity, a steamy British play with a magnifying glass on the complications of love and lust, and a locally-developed devised piece that manipulates time and place. TheatreLAB is also proud to introduce two exciting new programs that will further their mission to create, collaborate, and cultivate!

Fondren Theatre Workshop celebrates its 10th season by presenting this addictive new comedy by Beth Kander, July 25-28 and August 1-4 at 7:30 p.m. at the Warehouse Theatre, 1000 Monroe Street. The production is sponsored in part by New Stage Theatre.
As part of its mission "to reestablish and expand Detroit's theatre district," Magenta Giraffe Theatre Company has chosen plays by Michigan natives and current Michigan residents to stage as part of a festival to take place March 31 and April 1, 2012, at the Abreact Performance Space (1301 W. Lafayette, #1301, Detroit, MI 48226). Attendees will see a reading of each play and are encouraged to participate in a workshop-style discussion afterward. Admission is by donation only.
