Twitter is being flooded with messages from audience members tonight at SPIDER-MAN, with word that an actor fell during the middle of Act 2 when a cable snapped. The show was first put on hold, and then cancelled as ambulances arrived on the scene. There is no word at the moment on who was injured, how severely, or what affect this will have on future performances.

Este miércoles se estrena en el Teatre Apolo de Barcelona el musical Hair dirigido por Daniel Anglès. El elenco está formado por Julia Möller (La Bella y la Bestia, El Fantasma de la Ópera, Mar i Cel) que interpreta a Sheila, Joan Vázquez interpretando a Claude (Mamma Mia!), Jordi Coll (Fama) es Berger, Erika Bleda es Dionne, Marina Pastor (Fama) es Crissy, Chipper (Rent) en el papel de Hud, Momo Cortés (We Will Rock You, Judas El Musical) será Woof, Óscar Kapoya y Albert Estengre comparten el personaje de Oliver y Xavi Duch (Spamalot, 40 el Musical) interpreta el papel de Hubert.

As previously reported, SPIDER-MAN Turn Off The Dark has delayed its opening night (previously set for January 11, 2011) to Monday, February 7. Directed by Julie Taymor and featuring a book by Julie Taymor and Glen Berger, and new music and lyrics by U2's Bono and The Edge, SPIDER-MAN Turn Off The Dark is now in previews at Broadway's Foxwoods Theatre (213 West 42nd Street). All performances prior to the new opening night will go on as planned. The first production photos have been released and appear below!

Lead producer Michael Cohl announced today that SPIDER-MAN Turn Off The Dark has (again) delayed its opening night (previously set for January 11, 2011) to Monday, February 7. As BroadwayWorld reported yesterday, SPIDER-MAN: Turn Off The Dark has once again delayed it's opening to 'sometime in February,' the New York Times reported, pushed back from January 11, 2011. SPIDEY creator Julie Taymor spoke with Showbiz411.com yesterday and revealed that she is 'happy' about the delay so that she has time to incorporate changes and fine tune some loose edges. Losing star Natalie Mendoza to a concussion for 17 days hurt the show's progress, as did the implementation of a new closing number. The 'work in progress' that is currently playing the Foxwoods Theatre continues to perform at the box office in the meantime.

As BroadwayWorld speculated yesterday, SPIDER-MAN: Turn Off The Dark has once again delayed its opening, The New York Times reports. No exact date was given, however production sources have revealed that the opening date will now be 'sometime in February,' pushed back from January 11, 2011.

BroadwayWorld has been hearing that SPIDER MAN's Natalie Mendoza, who has been out of the show since December 2 due to a concussion she received during the first preview, could be out of the show for as long as another week. A spokesperson for the production stated that Mendoza 'would be going back into the production very soon,' in response. Reportedly, Mendoza underwent medical testing this week.
