U.S. Symphonic Premiere of CHILDREN OF EDEN plays the Kansas City Music Hall July 15-24. As a very special companion piece to the production, the producers will present an evening of the works of legendary CHILDREN OF EDEN songwriter Stephen Schwartz. This July 18th gala concert event will include musical performances from the multi-award winning author's entire body of works, including PIPPIN, GODSPELL and WICKED. The evening will feature some of Broadway's top talents, Kansas City theatre veterans and the composer himself.
Members of the cast and creative team of Broadway's SPIDER-MAN Turn Off The Dark will appear on CBS's 'The Late Show With David Letterman' this Monday, July 18. The appearance will feature show composers Bono and The Edge as the evening's guests, as well as a performance by Patrick Page ('Norman Osborn/Green Goblin') and the show's ensemble, debuting the show's newest song, 'A Freak Like Me.'

I knew his response would be positive, as I could hear him obviously being moved by the production during the first act. He was a big guy, strong, maybe in his early 60s wearing a Hawaiian shirt, khaki shorts and sporting a crew cut. To look at him you might think he was a retired cop or a Vietnam vet. For all I know, maybe he was. But in row K of the St. James Theatre there was a rush of memories passing through him of his youthful days as a hippie.
