The Vineyard Theatre's Annual Emerging Artists Luncheon will take place on Tuesday, June 6 from noon-2:30pm at the National Arts Club (15 Gramercy Park South) in Manhattan. The event will feature the presentation of the 2016-2017 Paula Vogel Playwriting Award by Paula Vogel to Kate Tarker (THUNDERBODIES), who began her residency last fall.

Tickets are now on sale for Cape Cod Chamber Music Festival (CCCMF)'s 38th season as Cape Cod's premiere presenter of summer chamber music. Twelve compelling concerts will be performed at venues across the Cape from August 1 through 25. Curated by Juan Michael Porter II, THE SERIES 2017 presents a versatile range of artistically provocative choreographers in contrasting programs of dance. At each performance, one or two of the 12 guest companies will share the program with Michael Mao Dance in a set of works that run the gamut from social dance to jazz to contemporary ballet to abstract pieces marked by their German Expressionistic values. The common thread running through each company featured in THE SERIES is the use of spectacular physical virtuosity to communicate fantastic ideas, June 6-11 at the Hudson Guild Theatre, 441 West 26th Street.

The Playwrights Realm has announced its 2017-18 season productions: the world premieres of Michael Yates Crowley's The Rape of the Sabine Women, By Grace B. Matthias, directed by Tyne Rafaeli (August - September 2017), and Don Nguyen's Hello, From the Children of Planet Earth, directed by Jade King Carroll (February - March 2018).Both will be presented at The Duke on 42nd Street, a New 42nd Street project.

Steep Theatre plunges into the world of horror with their Midwest premiere of Lauren Yee's Hookman. The play, which has been described by Yee as an 'existential slasher-comedy', was directed by the Jeff Award-winner Vanessa Stalling (United Flight 232 - Best Play, Midsize). The production marks Stalling's Steep Theatre directorial debut. ??The cast of Hookman features Karen Rodriguez, Kiayla Ryann, Aja Wiltshire, Sasha Smith, James Doherty, and Mary Tilden.
The Plagiarists' CIRCLE HOUSE Continues Through the End of May

Circle House, which opened Friday, April 27, is the newest production from The Plagiarists, a return to a group-writing style that is rather uniquely theirs. Company member and lead playwright Jessica Wright Buha organized a group of writers and artists into multiple writing sessions over several months, exploring both the cyclical nature and unsteadiness of nature and life. From there the script was developed by Buha and her team, then masterfully tackled by the sure and sensitive hand of director Kate Nawrocki.
