Red Bull Theater presents their next mainstage production: The Government Inspector, directed by Mr. Berger, which opened Off-Broadway at The Duke on 42nd Street (229 West 42nd Street, between 7th and 8th Avenues) last night, June 1st. 

The award-winning Young People's Chorus of New York City (YPC) and Artistic Director/Founder Francisco J. Nuñez, launch their summer season on Tuesday, June 6 with a tour to Finland, the first of two European tours this summer.

Curated by Juan Michael Porter II, THE SERIES 2017 presents a versatile range of artistically provocative choreographers in contrasting programs of dance.  At each performance, one or two of the 12 guest companies will share the program with Michael Mao Dance in a set of works that run the gamut from social dance to jazz to contemporary ballet to abstract pieces marked by their German Expressionistic values. The common thread running through each company featured in THE SERIES  is the use of spectacular physical virtuosity to communicate fantastic ideas, June 6-11 at the Hudson Guild Theatre, 441 West 26th Street.

Think Robin Williams and Nathan Lane in 'The Birdcage,' add a fabulous Broadway score by Jerry Herman (of 'Hello, Dolly!' fame), a hilarious book by Harvey Fierstein ('Kinky Boots') and a few thousand feathers and sequins, and you have 'La Cage aux Folles,' the Tony-winning musical that too rarely gets a chance on stage these days!

Theatre Now New York presented its 4th Annual festival of new musicals, Sound Bites 4.0 (sponsored by Music Theatre International and Disney Theatrical Productions) to a sold-out house at the Perishing Square Signature Theatre. An after-party was held in the theatre lobby where awards were given. Sound Bites showcases ten 10-minute musicals or musical excerpts in one evening.

Following its critically acclaimed, completely sold-out run at the Berger Park Coach House this winter, Broken Nose Theatre's hit production of Michael Perlman's AT THE TABLE directed by Spenser Davis will receive a five-week remount this summer featuring the full original cast. The Jeff Award-nominated Best Play will return June 29 - July 28, 2017 at The Den Theatre (Upstairs Main Stage), 1333 N. Milwaukee Ave. in Chicago. Lesser America (Half Moon Bay, The Bachelors, Carnival Kids, Trevor) presents the New York Premiere of IN A WORD by Lauren Yee, winner of the 2016 Francesca Primus Prize and a finalist for the ATCA/Steinberg Award. Directed by Tyne Rafaeli (The Bridges of Madison County national tour, Actually at Geffen Playhouse), previews begin June 16 at Cherry Lane Theatre, where Lesser America continues its run as the inaugural Company in Residence.

The 67th Music Circus season kicks off with a two-week run of Disney's beloved family classic musicalBeauty and the Beast. Performances are Tuesday, June 20 through Sunday, July 2 at the Wells Fargo Pavilion.

Joseph V. Melillo, executive producer of the Brooklyn Academy of Music (BAM), today announced programming for the 2017 Next Wave Festival. Over 400 guests including current and past New York City high school students and the performing arts professional mentors who have participated in TDF's award-winning Open Doors, the theatre arts mentoring program that TDF founded in 1998 with playwright Wendy Wasserstein, will attend this year's graduation at 5:30pm on Monday, June 5 at The Gerald W.
