Vineyard Theatre Extends PICKED Through 5/22

Vineyard Theatre (108 E. 15 St.) will extend its world-premiere production of Christopher Shinn's play PICKED through May 22, it has been announced by Douglas Aibel, The Vineyard's artistic director.

Vs. Theatre Company presents Los Angeles premiere of Neil Labute's The Mercy Seat at [Inside] the Ford

What if you were suddenly faced with the now-or-never chance to leave your spouse for your lover, no messy strings attached? Would you take it? Michelle Clunie (Queer as Folk) and Vs. Theatre Company artistic director Johnny Clark star in the Los Angeles premiere of The Mercy Seat, Neil LaBute's caustically funny examination of opportunism in the wake of tragedy. Ron Klier directs a six-week run, opening March 19 at [Inside] the Ford. Pay-what-you-can previews take place on March 17 and 18.

FELA! Makes Historic Arrival in Lagos, Nigeria

FELA!, the landmark Broadway musical, which won three Tony Awards (Broadway's highest honor) including Best Choreography (Bill T. Jones), is coming to Lagos from April 20th to 25th.

La MaMa and The Public Theater (Artistic Director Oskar Eustis, Interim Executive Director Joey Parnes) will begin previews on Wednesday, April 13 for the return engagement of the acclaimed Belarus Free Theatre. The group will perform encore performances of BEING Harold Pinter and ZONE OF SILENCE, which were sold-out hits at this year's Under the Radar Festival, as well as the New York premiere of DISCOVER LOVE. The three shows will run in repertory for five weeks only through Sunday, May 15 at La MaMa (66 East 4th Street) with an official press opening on Monday, April 18.
