Lennon: Through A Glass Onion is a part-biographical, part-concert whistle stop journey into the mind of international musical icon, John Lennon. Featuring 31 hits including his solo work, the show has enjoyed great success all over the world but most recently in Lennon's birthplace in Liverpool.

English Touring Theatre Announces Casting Update for SILVER LINING

English Touring Theatre today announces a casting update for the world premiere of Sandi Toksvig's new comedy Silver Lining, a co-production with Rose Theatre Kingston. Sheila Reid plays Gloria, with Rachel Davies as Maureen, Keziah Joseph as Hope, Maggie McCarthy as May, Joanna Munro as June and Amanda Walker as St Michael in the production directed by Rebecca Gatward. It opens at Rose Theatre Kingston on 8 February, before touring to Portsmouth, Oxford, Cambridge, Ipswich, Keswick, York and Salford.

It seems as though every popular musician has been the subject of a jukebox musical, and so it is not surprising that the story of Buddy Holly has been explored in Buddy. Touring the UK and seen at the Belgrade Theatre, Coventry, this musical follows passionate, impulsive Buddy on his struggle to break free of country music and make his name as a rock and roll star, concluding with his early death in a plane crash - the day the music died.

Writer Bob Eaton had previous success with 2-Tone Musical Three Minute Heroes at the Belgrade Theatre in 2014. This time, he has put pen to paper to create a musical loosely based on William Shakespeare's Hamlet. Roll Over Beethoven boasts an original rock 'n' roll score against a backdrop of post-war England. Protaganist Johnny returns from National Service to attend his father's funeral where he notices his Mother and Uncle acting questionably. This, teamed with his Father revisiting him in various forms, further arouses suspicion surrounding his death.

The Play That Goes Wrong, the West End's Olivier Award winning box office hit, announces a major national tour for 2017. Opening at Theatre Royal Bath on 10 January, the production will visit 30 venues nationwide until the end of July 2017, including Newcastle Theatre Royal, Belgrade Theatre Coventry, The Mercury Theatre Colchester, Cambridge Arts Theatre and Mayflower Theatre Southampton (full list of tour dates to be confirmed).
