The Vineyard Theatre will present a one-night-only reading of Becky Mode's acclaimed play FULLY COMMITTED - with Mark Setlock returning to his performance - this coming Monday, November 12, 2012 at 7:00 p.m. at The Vineyard (108 E. 15 St., between Irving Place and Union Square East). Vineyard Theatre will celebrate its 30th anniversary season with a host of special events, in addition to its mainstage productions. These events include developmental readings and workshops, and one-night-only readings of acclaimed productions from the company's history.

Due to popular demand, ZACH Theatre in Austin, TX has extended the runs of their hit productions of XANADU and FULLY COMMITTED. FULLY COMMITTED runs from now through September 23rd at the Whisenhunt Stage and XANADU, also running now through September 30th at the Kleberg Stage.

50 of America's top young theatre artists are coming to London as part of The Old Vic's 2011 TS Eliot US/UK Exchange programme and presenting seven new short plays on The Old Vic stage.

50 of America's top young theatre artists will be travelling to London this May as part of The 2011 TS Eliot US/UK Exchange - a project run by the historic The Old Vic Theatre in London, currently under the artistic direction of Kevin Spacey.

As I sat through Becky Mode's Fully Committed for the third time, I realized just how many meanings the title has. First, as it takes place in a restaurant, fully committed means that lunch or dinner reservations are completely booked. Secondly, it indicates that a person is 100% devoted or dedicated to the work. Then, thirdly, due to a stressful position, perhaps that person is now certifiable and should be thrown in the loony bin. I mean, who could put up with such intolerable crap from management and clientele for such an extended period of time? An extreme analysis, right? There are certainly many young actors who work as receptionists or waiters and somehow allow themselves to be put through the wringer. They complain, but they stay. Nothing ever improves, but out of necessity, they stay loyal and do not leave. A lot to examine, and through Becky Mode's play, via the character of Sam (David Engel), the audience learns just how far a worker must go to find a little happiness and contentment in his menial job. With a superb performance from fully committed Engel and taut direction from Joel Bishoff, this second production of Coyote StageWorks current season hits the jackpot.

Directed by Peter Amster, THIS WONDERFUL LIFE begins in the Drury Theatre at Cleveland Play House on Friday, November 26 and runs through Sunday, December 19, 2010.
