The Broadway production of Stephen Karam's much-raved-about new play, The Humans, will begin performances at Broadway's Helen Hayes Theatre (240 West 44th Street) on Saturday, January 23, 2016, and open officially on Thursday, February 18. Directed by Tony Award winner Joe Mantello, the play will feature its entire acclaimed current Off-Broadway cast. Tickets go on sale tomorrow for the Broadway production of Stephen Karam's much-raved-about new play, THE HUMANS, recently named 'The Best Play of the Year' by New York Magazine.

Sounds that are familiar and sounds that are mysterious play important roles in Stephen Karam's Broadway-bound play.

Scott Rudin and Barry Diller will present the Roundabout Theatre Company (Todd Haimes Artistic Director) production of Stephen Karam's much-raved-about new play, The Humans, on Broadway this season, following its smash-hit Off-Broadway engagement.  Directed by Tony Award winner Joe Mantello and featuring its entire acclaimed current Off-Broadway cast, The Humans will begin performances at Broadway's Helen Hayes Theatre (240 West 44th Street) on Saturday, January 23, 2016, and open officially on Thursday, February 18. 

Now, Elaine May has joined the lineup of hosts. Monty Python's Eric Idle and John Cleese are also set to perform (hopefully selections from SPAMALOT!), with readings and other music also planned.

The production then had its USA premiere at The John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, Washington, where it received standing ovations.

According to the New York Times, the proposal for the $170 million park, which would be built on a multilevel platform 186 feet off the shoreline of the Hudson River, includes 'a series of wooded nooks and three performance venues, including an amphitheater.' The park, which would be called Pier 55, would replace Pier 54, a flat 875-foot structure that has been gradually sinking into the river.

The Elaine Stritch Memorial Tribute 'Everybody, Rise! A Celebration of Elaine Stritch' will be held tonight, November 17, at 4 p.m. at The Al Hirschfeld Theatre, featuring Bernadette Peters, Nathan Lane, Lena Hall, Hal Prince, Betty Buckley, Christine Ebersole, Laura Benanti, Michael Feinstein and more, all on on hand to share songs and stories of the theatre legend's life.

Tony-winner Laura Benanti was just added to the Elaine Stritch Memorial Tribute 'Everybody, Rise! A Celebration of Elaine Stritch.' Benanti will be accompanied by Michael Feinstein on the Irving Berlin song 'You're Just in Love,' from the Broadway musical, CALL ME MADAM.

Nathan Lane, Holland Taylor and Lena Hall will join some of the biggest names on Broadway in an upcoming tribute to theater legend Elaine Stritch.

The American Friends of the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra (AFIPO) Board of Directors appointed five new members today, which include Steven Kofsky, Matti Leshem, Michael Maling, Theodore N. Mirvis, and Julie Mitnick. The new board members were elected at a national board meeting that took place on October 21 at the Harmonie Club in Manhattan, New York. Their roles became effective immediately. These inductees join the organization at an exciting time, as the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra is growing its presence both in North America and around the globe.

Paramount Pictures, a division of Viacom (NASDAQ: VIABN, VIA), announced it will distribute writer / director Chris Rock's 'TOP FIVE' worldwide. The news comes as the film from producer Scott Rudin, and his IACF partner Barry Diller, earned rave reviews at the 2014 Toronto International Film Festival.

Signature Theatre has announced that the Signature Theatre Annual Gala celebration will take place on Monday, April 7, 2014 and will honor 108th New York City mayor Michael R. Bloomberg and actor/playwright/director Ruben Santiago-Hudson.
