The Barrow Group, in association with The Pond Theatre Company, presents the first show of the 2016/17 season, ABIGAIL'S PARTY, written by Oscar nominee Mike Leigh (Secrets and Lies). Directed by The Barrow Group Co-Artistic Director Lee Brock, ABIGAIL'S PARTY opened last night, November 14, at the TBG Theatre at The Barrow Group (312 West 36th Street, 3rd Floor), for a limited run through Saturday, December 3, 2016, and BroadwayWorld has photos from the opening festivities below!

With episodes on police brutality and voter suppression, the ABC comedy BLACK-ISH frequently tackles heavy subject matter. Creator and show-runner Kenya Barris brings these conversations into America's living rooms with a healthy dose of humor.

For the upcoming holiday season, 4th Wall Theatre Company (formerly Stark Naked Theatre Company) brings love and laughter to Houston audiences with Shakespeare's beloved romantic comedy, Much Ado About Nothing.  Widely considered to be one of Shakespeare's best comedies, Much Ado is a delightfully hilarious and witty tale of love, friendship and intrigue.  Appropriate for all ages, this not-to-be-missed holiday treat opens on December 1st and runs through Christmas Eve.

Casting for Rock N' Roll Debauchery has just been announced for their return to 42West this October and November.

Following its sold-out performance of 'Burlesque Dreams' in New York City last April, Rock N' Roll Debauchery returns to 42West for an extended run. Prepare to be rocked all night long!

Featuring exciting works from the worlds of theater, dance, music, and more, @TheStrand will further develop A.C.T.'s dynamic and intimate performance complex into a unique San Francisco venue where audiences can discover, engage, and explore arts of all mediums.

On the heels of its three Emmy nominations, including Outstanding Comedy Series, ABC Studios' BLACK-ISH season two is available for free exclusively on iTunes (iTunes.com/black-ish) now through Wednesday night, August 17.

ABC's critically acclaimed hit series BLACK-ISH will film on location at Walt Disney World Resort in Florida. In the season three premiere episode, titled “VIP,” Dre decides to take his entire family on the magical, first-class vacation experience he was never able to have as a kid.

4th Wall Theatre Company (formerly Stark Naked Theatre Company) opens its 2016-2017 season on September 9th  with Sam Shepard's Tony-nominated masterpiece, True West-a modern American classic exploring themes of sibling rivalry, art as commerce, and what it means to 'be a man.' Like a runaway train, this dark comedy about two brothers and their mutual resentment takes audiences on a thrill ride into the dark side of the human psyche, with laughs and unexpected moments of revelation along the way.  In its world premiere, the San Francisco Chronicle noted that True West is "clear, funny, naturalistic. It's also opaque, terrifying, surrealistic.  If that sounds contradictory, you're on to one aspect of Shepard's winning genius-the ability to make you think your watching one thing while at the same time he's presenting another."

The Barrow Group has announced its 2016/2017 season, which will include MainStage productions, readings, and events.

HAMILTON's Daveed Diggs, who just left the Broadway blockbuster last week, has added yet another project to his jam-packed film and TV schedule.

Nat Towsen's Downtown Variety Hour continues the fourth year of its run at UCB Theatre East Village on Monday, July 11, at 8 PM. Host Nat Towsen (VICE, Nickelodeon) combines the disappearing, eclectic lower Manhattan culture in which he grew up (around the corner from the theatre, in fact) with interviews, informative presentations, and the best of the NYC alt-comedy scene. The show features native luminaries as well as a few welcome New York transplants.
