Giovedi 2 aprile e finalmente uscito in Italia il film 'INTO THE WOODS'.
The return to London of CATS has been considered a big hit, with the show extending multiple times, and already planning a limited run return for next year. The Old Globe today announced that due to ticket demand, the hilarious Buyer & Cellar, which starts previews this Saturday, April 4, will now play through Sunday, May 10! B Street Theatre, Sacramento's Resident New Works Theatre, is pleased to present the Regional Premiere of Buyer & Cellar, a one-man show by playwright Jonathan Tolins. Enjoying immediate success at the non-profit Rattlestick Playwrights Theater, Buyer & Cellar moved to the Barrow Street Theatre for an Off-Broadway run. Playing to sold-out houses for months, Buyer & Cellar received an Off-Broadway extension until April of 2014. The critically acclaimed production went on to receive a Chicago engagement followed by a US Tour through November 2014.
Playwright Jonathan Tolins uses Barbra Streisand's book My Passion for Design as a jumping off point for his hilarious one man show BUYER & CELLAR. It's a fun-filled romp that fans of the lady with the magnificent voice, and questionable temperament, will find absolutely delightful. Even if you're not a fan, you'll enjoy this peek inside the peculiarities that are a part of this showbiz icon's lifestyle. The Repertory Theatre of St. Louis has fashioned a very enjoyable production that has been so popular that the run has been extended twice. See it for yourself and you'll know why. It's an amusing and often belly laugh inducing work that you should make every effort to check out!
Today we are talking to one of the biggest stars to break out of Broadway and make a major mark on the music scene in recent years thanks to her hit album HUNTER and an ever-expanding series of incredibly impressive viral music videos, the soulful and passionate Morgan James. Discussing the impetus behind many of the selections on HUNTER as well as sharing stories of how the album all came together, James generously details the process in creating her first album of original material while looking ahead to this week's live concert event at the Highline Ballroom which will showcase many of the standouts from the album as well as some special surprises. Furthermore, James opens up about her growing series of music videos covering many classic pop and R&B songs, both vintage and brand new, as well as the worldwide acclaim she has received for them - enough to inspire a recent European tour with innovative music collective Postmodern Jukebox, as matter of fact. Plus, James gives the 411 on her theatre background and Juilliard training while also reflecting on some of her Broadway appearances in musicals such as MOTOWN, GODSPELL, THE ADDAMS FAMILY and WONDERLAND while also commenting on some dream roles she would ideally enjoy pursuing in the future, near and far. All of that, thoughts on social media, favorite albums and much, much more!
Coyote StageWorks' BUYER & CELLAR is howlingly funny, brilliantly acted, and cleverly staged. Playwright Jonathan Tolins alternatively skewers Barbra Streisand and sympathizes with her through Alex More, the main character -- all characters are played by Emerson Collins -- after Alex takes a job in Streisand's cellar taking care of her possessions, which are stored in a fake shopping mall.
