John Mayer's New Album 'Paradise Valley' to Be Released 8/20, Available Now for Pre-Order on iTunes

Paradise Valley, the latest album from Grammy Award-winning singer, songwriter and musician John Mayer, will be released on August 20, and is available now to pre-order on iTunes. Mayer produced Paradise Valley with longtime collaborator Don Was, who also co-produced Mayer's #1 charting Gold-certified 2012 release Born and Raised, and has worked on albums for acts such as the Rolling Stones, B.B. King and Bonnie Raitt.

Violinist Darryl Way Releases First Solo Album in 20 Years

Much to the anticipation of music fans and critics worldwide, Curved Air founding member and virtuoso violinist Darryl Way is releasing his first solo album in 20 years! Now available on Explore Multimedia, via Cherry Red Records, ULTRA VIOLINS features Darryl's own interpretations of several well-known classical pieces, as well as a re-recording of Curved Air's classic hit “Vivaldi”. Says Darryl, “The motivating force behind creating 'Ultra Violins' was to introduce some new material for solo violin that came from the vocal repertoire and the world of orchestral music, rather than music specifically for solo violin.”

Red Baraat and More Set for Omaha Performing Arts' Jazz on the Green, Now thru 8/15

Omaha Performing Arts will again present Jazz on the Green at Midtown Crossing this summer. The free outdoor concert series will run six consecutive Thursdays, from today, July 11 to August 15, 2013, and is located in the idyllic Turner Park in the heart of Midtown Crossing. Starting this year, concerts will begin at 7:30 p.m. on the new permanent stage of The Pavilion at Turner Park; the lawn is open beginning at 5 p.m.

MILLION DOLLAR QUARTET to Celebrate 2,000 Performances in Chicago Tomorrow

Tomorrow marks an exciting landmark for Million Dollar Quartet. The Chicago production is celebrating 2,000 performances. To mark the occasion, original MDQ cast member (now on the National Tour) Kelly Lamont will join the company for a 'Sitting in with the Band' appearance during the encore. The company will celebrate with a specially-designed cake, courtesy of The French Pastry School.

Long Wharf Theatre Features SMOKEY JOE'S CAFE, Now thru 7/28

Long Wharf Theatre, in conjunction with Supreme Talent International will present Smokey Joe's Cafe: The Songs of Leiber and Stoller, on the Mainstage as part of its summer season. The musical runs from today, July 10-28 on the Mainstage.

Shelly Fisher's THE HEBREW HILLBILLY to Play Palm Desert's Arthur Newman Theater, Today

"The Hebrew Hillbilly", written by and performed by singer-songwriter Shelley Fisher in a one-woman cabaret style concert at a 2 PM matinee performance today, July 7th at Arthur Newman Theatre in The Joslyn Center Theater in Palm Desert. The show chronicles Ms. Fisher's Hollywood odyssey that begins in the heart of the Mississippi Delta in her hometown of Memphis, Tennessee. Shelley grew up surrounded by Rockin' Roll, Blues, and Bar B Que with a flamboyant but very Jewish mother who frowned on her dating the local redneck boys. But that never stopped her dreams from an early age of being a Hollywood star and she has been singing since before she could walk.

Asbury Park's JAZZ AND BLUES MECCA Exhibition to Close, 6/30

The Asbury Musical Heritage Foundation is presenting the colorful metal murals, and large-scale prints by music photographers George Wirt and Tony Graves. The show, ASBURY PARK: JAZZ AND BLUES MECCA, runs through this weekend Saturday, June 29, and Sunday, June 30. It features Jazz and Blues artists in performance in venues and festivals of Asbury Park and includes Dave Valentine, Tony Bennett, Stanley Jordan, B.B. King, Mindi Abair, Lonnie Liston Smith, the Dirty Dozen Jazz Band, Jimmy Health, Nelson Rangel and many others.

UK Prog Rockers Nektar Tour the US, Summer 2013

One of the summer's most highly anticipated tours, 'Legends of U.K. Classic Rock', will feature progressive rock legends Nektar, beginning in June 2013. Spencer Hatton's COUNTING CROWS Wins 'Wild Card' Award at 2013 Beach Book Festival

'Counting Crows: Stories of Love, Laughter and Loss' has garnered its second national book award this summer. The 2013 Beach Book Festival awarded first place in the 'Wild Card' category to the independently published book by Spencer Hatton, former Yakima Herald-Republic editor and columnist. The contest honors what promoters call the 'summer's hottest reads.'

The Town of Morristown Presents THE MORRISTOWN JAZZ AND BLUES FESTIVAL, 8/17

For the third year in a row, Mayor Timothy Dougherty and the Town of Morristown will host a free all day concert on the Green on Saturday, August 17th.
