Express Lane Productions has announced casting for David's Play, a new play by Tom Rowan (Kiss and Cry, The Second Tosca) that will be presented October 27 to November 3 as part of this year's NY Fringe BYOV Festival. The show will play at the Chain Theatre Main Stage, 312 West 36th Street in Manhattan, which is serving as a Fringe venue for the first time this season.

Folger's 2019 Season opener deftly tells the tale of king's reign and the rebellion he faces, a prince burdened by expectations, and the struggles of family, honor, and duty. Rosa Joshi's production enchantingly revives this age-old tale with the help of stunning sets, expert staging, and a phenomenal cast.

Folger Theatre opens the 2019/20 season with 1 Henry IV, Shakespeare's richly layered coming-of-age tale of power, rebellion, honor, and redemption. The production is directed by Rosa Joshi (co-founder of Seattle's upstart crow collective theater company in Seattle; Henry V and As You Like It at Oregon Shakespeare Festival), who makes her DC directorial debut at the Folger.

Stephen King & Joe Hill Novella IN THE TALL GRASS starts filming in Toronto for Netflix.  Patrick Wilson, Laysla De Oliveira and Harrison Gilbertson star in the film, directed by Vincenzo Natali.

Ensemble Studio Theatre (EST) has announced three World Premiere productions for the EST 2018 season.

Black Coffee Productions (BCP) is proud to announce the casting of their first Fresh Grind Festival which will showcase ten staged readings of new works. A diverse group of forty-three actors has been cast including two time Grammy Nominee Martha Wash, who is well known for the multi platinum single, 'It's Raining Men.' Wash will lead the cast in the zombie parody, I Want to Eat Brains (or the Day I Killed All My Friends). The eclectic mix of actor's credits range from regional, off-off Broadway to Broadway, and National television credits. Other notable casting includes Jeremy Villas in The Bishops. Villas is currently performing as Young Lola in Kinky Boots on Broadway.
