The LA Times is reporting the breaking news that 'Center Theatre Group announced Tuesday that it would import the production now on Broadway that originated in May at Washington's Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts. Michael Ritchie, CTG's artistic director, said "we are currently in discussions" to lure members of the Broadway cast led by Bernadette Peters, Elaine Page, Jan Maxwell, Jayne Houdyshell and Danny Burstein. "Follies" is scheduled to close on Broadway Jan. 22 after a four-month run.'

Due to overwhelming demand across North America, a second touring production of the Tony, Grammy and Olivier Award-winning hit musical JERSEY BOYS, the story of Frankie Valli and The Four Seasons, launches in Philadelphia, PA at the Forrest Theater tonight for a six week engagement.

The Movement Theatre Company [TMTC] will present Wilson Revised, A Celebration of August Wilson on Sunday, December 4, 2011 at 2:00pm at the Studio Museum in Harlem.

The Fountain Theatre announced today that a guilty verdict has been reached in the trial of the man accused of murdering longtime Fountain director/producer Ben Bradley.

Stars André Braugher, Ami Brabson, Suzzanne Douglas, Frankie Faison, and many more will perform in a staged reading of King Lear by William Shakespeare for two performances only: Saturday January 7th, 2012 at 7pm and Sunday January 8th, 2012 at 5pm.

JERSEY BOYS, the Tony, Olivier and Grammy Award-winning Best Musical, will surpass The Producers with 2,503 performances, becoming the 22nd longest-running show in Broadway history and the longest running show in Jujamcyn Theaters' history, following the performance on Tuesday, November 29.
