Laura Innes, Linda Lavin, Cotter Smith Join POWERHOUSE'S 2013 Season

Casting highlights for Vassar & New York Stage and Film Powerhouse Theater's second Mainstage production, Mozhan Marno's When The Lights Went Out, and the Martel Musical workshop of the new Simon Rich/Peter Lerman musical inspired by The Brooklyn Hero Supply Company, have been announced. In addition, casting highlights for the season's Inside Look Workshops, Found and Mother of Invention have also been announced. Annie Golden & Jane Summerhays Set for MARRY HARRY at NYMF; Full Cast Announced!

MARRY HARRY is an official selection of the 2013 New York Musical Theatre and will be presented by the New York Musical Theatre Festival. MARRY HARRY has a book by Jennifer Robbins, music by Dan Martin, lyrics by Michael Biello, music direction by Christopher McGovern, choreography by Wendy Seyb, and is directed by Kent Nicholson. MARRY HARRY will play at The Alice Griffin Jewel Box Theatre at The Pershing Square Signature Center, beginning July 19 - July 28. HAMILTON MIXTAPE, FOUND & More Included in 2013 Powerhouse Season!

New York Stage and Film (Johanna Pfaelzer, Artistic Director; Thomas Pearson, Executive Director; Mark Linn-Baker, Max Mayer, Leslie Urdang, Producing Directors) and Vassar College (Ed Cheetham, Producing Director) have announced the line-up of their 2013 Powerhouse Theater Season, which includes new works from actor, writer and prolific, Grammy Award-winning musician Steve Martin and Tony Award winner Lin-Manuel Miranda, the creator of Broadway'sIn the Heights, among many others. The 2013 Powerhouse Theater Season runs from June 21st - July 28th at Vassar College (Poughkeepsie, New York), and a full calendar and description of events are below. Casting is underway and will be announced shortly.

Mark Sam Rosenthal's I LIGHT UP MY LIFE Kicks Off Left Out Festival Tonight

Mark Sam Rosenthal is tickled to present I Light Up My Life: The Mark Sam Celebrity Autobiography, an over-the-top multi-media presentation of his 789-page yet to be published homage to his favorite celebrity: himself. The production will be held at Stage Left Studio, 214 W. 30th St., 6th floor, tonight, April 20th at 7:30pm and Friday April 26th at 7:30pm. Todd Parmley directs a cast of one: Mark Sam Rosenthal, a celebrity.

Actors Theatre of Louisville Opens 37th Humana Festival with Sam Mark's THE DELLING SHORE Tonight

The 37th Humana Festival of New American Plays, made possible by a generous grant from the Humana Foundation, opens with the world premiere of Sam Mark's The Delling Shore, directed by Actors Theatre's associate artistic director Meredith McDonough. The Delling Shore is playing in the Bingham Theatre and begins previews tonight, February 27, opens March 1 and runs through April 7.

Actors Theatre of Louisville to Open 37th Humana Festival with Sam Mark's THE DELLING SHORE, 2/27

The 37th Humana Festival of New American Plays, made possible by a generous grant from the Humana Foundation, opens with the world premiere of Sam Mark's The Delling Shore, directed by Actors Theatre's associate artistic director Meredith McDonough. The Delling Shore is playing in the Bingham Theatre and begins previews on February 27, opens March 1 and runs through April 7. AAPAC's Diversity Report for 2011-12 Season Says Broadway Hires Better Percentage of Minority Actors Than Non-Profit Sector

The Asian American Performers Action Coalition (AAPAC) released its annual report, 'Ethnic Representation on New York City Stages,' detailing the ethnic distribution of actors hired this past theater season on Broadway and at the top sixteen not-for-profit theater companies in New York City. It is the only publicly available report of its kind.
