Lynne Meadow (Artistic Director) and Barry Grove (Executive Producer) have announced the Manhattan Theatre Club production of Polly Stenham's THAT FACE will be directed by Sarah Benson (Blasted, Artistic Director of Soho Rep) and will feature three-time Obie winner Elizabeth Marvel (Top Girls, 50 Words). THAT FACE will begin previews on Thursday, April 29, 2010 at MTC at New York City Center - Stage I for a Tuesday, May 18, 2010 opening night.

Circus Theatricals opens it 2010 Season with The West Coast Premiere of More Lies About Jerzy by Davey Holmes (WGA Award-winner for In Treatment) and directed by David Trainer (That ‘70s Show) and produced by Jeannine Wisnosky Stehlin.

On May 6th, CAP21 (Collaborative Arts Project 21) will transform its block box theater 'The Shop' into Europe during WWI, the backdrop for Fengar Gael's 'The Usher's Ball'. The play will have a month long run in May, as part of CAP21's Spring/Summer season.

Previews begin Monday, May 3, for the LCT3 production of GRACELAND, a new play by Ellen Fairey, at The Duke on 42nd Street, a New 42nd Street® project, (229 W. 42 Street). Marin Hinkle, David Gelles Hurwitz, Brian Kerwin, Polly Lee and Matt McGrath are featured in the play which is directed by Henry Wishcamper.

According to Variety, William H. Macy and Marisa Tomei are set to star in the upcoming legal thriller The Lincoln Lawyer. John Ramano's adaptation of Michael Connelly's book of the same title will be directed by Brad Furman. Macy and Tomei will be joining Matthew McConaughey, who has been attached to the film. Filming will begin in July, and the release date for the movie is still unknown.

Theatre Exile will close their 13th season with the Philadelphia premiere of Shining City by Conor McPherson, the award-winning playwright of The Weir and The Seafarer, on April 25th. The production is directed by Exile's associate artistic director Matt Pfieffer.

The Lucille Lortel Awards announced today the details for the 25th Anniversary Lortel Awards Reception & Ceremony. The Awards Reception will be held on May 2, 2010 at 6 PM EST with the Ceremony beginning at 8 PM EST at Terminal 5, 610 West 56th Street, between 11th & 12th Avenues. New York's Summer Play Festival (SPF) is partnering with Germany's Theatre Bielefeld for the second year as part of the Voices of Change Festival in Bielefeld, Germany from April 22 - 25, 2010. This year's selected playwright is Alena Smith, whose play The Sacrifices (SPF 2009) will be translated into German, and receive a workshop production as part of the Festival.

Theatre of the Expendable (Mare Cognitum, Cherry Docs) announces their fifth season, which will include Alan M. Berks' Almost Exactly Like Us and Conor McPherson's St. Nicholas. Both productions will be directed by TotE's Artistic Director, Jesse Edward Rosbrow, and will play at The WorkShop Theater.

Three Boston theatre companies will engage in a landmark local collaboration this fall to produce breakout writer Annie Baker's first three plays - CIRCLE MIRROR TRANSFORMATION, produced by the Huntington Theatre Company (October 15 - November 14), BODY AWARENESS, produced by SpeakEasy Stage Company (October 22 - November 20), and THE ALIENS, produced by Company One (October 29 - November 20). All set in the fictional town of Shirley, VT, the plays will run together in the first-ever festival dedicated to the work of this wryly observant young writer, which will be curated by the Huntington Theatre Company.

Profiles Theatre concludes its 2009-2010 Season with the Midwest premiere of Body Awareness by Annie Baker, directed by Benjamin Thiem. The production runs May 14 - June 27, 2010, at Profiles Theatre, 4147 N. Broadway. Opening night is Thursday, May 20, 2010, at 8:00 p.m.

Reprise Records will release The Original Broadway Cast Recording of American Idiot on April 20, 2010, the same day the show will open at the St. James Theatre in New York City. The official album features the 24-member cast accompanied by Green Day, marking another incredible collaboration between the band and the musical. Based on Green Day's chart-topping 2004 album American Idiot, the musical and the cast recording include every song from American Idiot, as well as several songs from the band's GRAMMY® Award-winning current album 21st Century Breakdown.

Directed by Sam Gold (Circle Mirror Transformation, Rag and Bone), performances begin Wednesday, April 14th, 2010. Opening night is Thursday, April 22nd at 7pm. The show is scheduled to run through Sunday, May 23rd, 2010.
