York Theatre Company has cast its two new musicals, Rogues to Riches and Scandalous Behavior, as part of its Developmental Reading Series. Readings will be held at Saint Peter's Church on Thursday, June 3pm at 3 and 7pm for Rogues to Riches and Friday, June 4 at 3pm for Scandalous Behavior. Cygnet Theatre's Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street opens on March 27 at 8PM. The beloved murderous musical, with music and lyrics by Stephen Sondheim and book by Hugh Wheeler, joins the list of other Sondheim works already produced or produced in staged-readings on Cygnet's stages. Co-Directed by Cygnet Artistic Director Sean Murray and Resident Artist James Vasquez, Sweeney Todd runs through April 25th, 2010 at Cygnet's Old Town Theatre.
