Maestro LUKE FRAZIER and THE AMERICAN POPS ORCHESTRA - Washington, DC's innovative hometown orchestra - has teamed up with Washington, DC chapter of The National Society of Arts and Letters for their first annual vocal competition, "NextGen: Finding The Voices of Tomorrow."  The final round audition will take place on Friday, March 23 at 8:00 PM in Washington, DC at Arena Stage in The Kreeger Theater. Judges for competition will include Baayork Lee (Tony winning Broadway Legend), Jim Caruso (Birdland Jazz Club), Kelly d'Amboise (Signature Theater and APO Resident Director), and Robert Pullen (Emmy-nominated Producer and owner of Nouveau Productions). The Mike Stern Band featuring Teymur Phell and Richie Morales will headline the 7th Les Paul Festival Concert at Ramapo College on Saturday, February 24, 2018 in the Berrie Center's Sharp Theater at 8:00 p.m.  The annual festival celebrates Mahwah resident Les Paul's innovative spirit as a musician and technologist by hosting a week of guest speakers and workshops for Ramapo's music students culminating in a concert for the college and regional community. The Les Paul Festival is presented by the Ramapo College Music Program, the Berrie Center for the Performing and Visual Arts, the School of Contemporary Arts, the student-run Ramapo Music Club, and the Mahwah Museum.

The 2017/18 season of world-class dance, music and theater continues as the Wallis Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts (The Wallis) presents its third annual Winter @ The Wallis series. Thousands of jazz fans from Phoenix, Tucson and all across the country will converge on Tucson as the city welcomes the 4th annual jazz festival this January. Attendance is expected to hit 20,000, making the festival one of the major jazz destinations in the country.

A new documentary on legendary jazz trumpeter Arturo Sandoval is currently in production. Filmmaker Francisco J. Ricardo, director of F For Franco, is directing the film, inspired by Arturo's energy and dedication to his craft.
