Signature Theatre Company (Founding Artistic Director James Houghton; Executive Director Erika Mallin), announced today seven productions for its inaugural 2012 season at Signature Center (480 West 42nd Street near 10th Avenue), the company's new Frank Gehry-designed permanent home opening in February 2012. Signature Center will allow the Company to expand its programming, introduce new initiatives, and build audiences. Featuring three intimate theatres, a studio theatre, rehearsal studio and a shared lobby with café and bookstore, Signature Center will be both a theatre community hub and a neighborhood destination.

Manhattan born Arthur Miller is one of the most highly esteemed American playwrights. He is recognized for his insight and keen perception into the tribulations of the American working class. His play Death of a Salesman won Miller the Pulitzer Prize for Drama in 1949. Miller's other best known works include The Man Who Had All The Luck, A View From the Bridge, and After The Fall.

Hartford Stage celebrates its 48th season with an Open House on Saturday, September 17. The event features a special performance from the theatre's current MainStage production of Arthur Miller's classic drama The Crucible. The afternoon also includes theatre facility tours given by Hartford Stage staff, a costume discussion with Costume Shop Manager Matt Smart, a discussion of the upcoming season with Senior Dramaturg Christopher Baker, and a student theatre workshop led by Hartford Stage Education staff members.
