Howard Scott Gallery is pleased to announce the opening of the solo exhibition Marshland by Fred Stonehouse. The show will open to the public on Thursday, 8 April and continue through May 8. The recent works that will compose the exhibition include examples of all of the artist's painting formats.

Kaufman Center and New York Festival Of Song (NYFOS, www.nyfos.org), acclaimed by New York Magazine as 'The best classical music programming in New York,' will present an all-new program on May 4 and 6 at 8 PM of American composers, including the premiere of Beautiful Ohio, a song cycle by 2009 Pulitzer Prize- finalist Harold Meltzer, with texts of poet James Arlington Wright and composed specifically for the young American tenor Paul Appleby.

Phoenix Artistic Director Steven C. Anderson has produced a concert version of the five-time Tony Award-winning musical Titanic and recruited 38 local performers to donate their performances to help raise funds for Phoenix's "at risk" residency program with Columbus City Schools. Phoenix artists and educators go into these schools and partner with teachers to mentor fourth graders considered "at risk of failure in the classroom" by engaging them to create plays based on core curriculum.

The crocuses, cherry blossoms, and azaleas will be in full bloom, as the nation's capital will be awash in beautiful colors.
