Virginia's Tony Award-winning Signature Theatre, through its groundbreaking American Musical Voices Project (AMVP), announces the world premiere of the musical comedy And the Curtain Rises (formerly known as Wheatley's Folly). Beginning performances on Thursday, March 17, 2011, And the Curtain Rises marks the third production presented as part of Signature's AMVP, the largest commissioning program for new musicals in the country, following Michael John LaChiusa's Giant in 2009 and Ricky Ian Gordon's Sycamore Trees last year. The Washington Post has said that 'Signature's AMVP is the most ambitious embrace of new musical theater in the DC region.'

New York singer and actor Steven Brinberg has garnered acclaim from audiences and critics from around the World as the quintessential Barbra Streisand impersonator in the business today. He has toured across the globe in theatres, concert halls and clubs for over a decade and was chosen by Ms. Streisand's management to make a surprise personal appearance at her friend Donna Karan's birthday party. Now, Desert audiences will have not one - but two opportunities to experience Simply Barbra, Saturday, February 26th at a 9 PM at Blame It On Midnight in Palm Springs, and on Sunday, February 27th at 2 PM at the Arthur Newman Theatre at The Joslyn Center in Palm Desert

John Michael Coppola, who performed the role of Frankie Valli in the Chicago production of Broadway's Jersey Boys and who has been seen throughout Chicagoland in several sold out performances of Michael Ingersoll's Under The Streetlamp is launching a new solo career.

Join legendary live music venue and Irish pub, The Abbey (3420 W. Grace), in celebrating a true Irish fete this St. Patrick's Day kicking off on Thursday, March 10 and Friday, March 12 with a Bluegrass Ball.

Bella Vita Entertainment, with Anthony Gruppuso, Calvin Remsberg, and Tricia Stabile announces the Los Angeles premiere of Glory Days. Glory Days has music and lyrics by Nick Blaemire and book by James Gardiner, and will be directed by Calvin Remsberg. Glory Days will preview at 8 pm on Thursday, March 17 and Friday, March 18 with opening night at 8:00 pm on Saturday, March 19 and run through April 24 (Thursday through Sunday) at the Lillian Theatre.

Virginia's Tony Award -winning Signature Theatre will host a book launch party to celebrate the release of Lend Me A Tenor and Other Plays by DC playwright and Broadway favorite Ken Ludwig on Saturday, March 5 from 4pm - 6pm. This free event, open to the public, will be held in Signature's 2nd Floor Mead Lobby. The new anthology of Ludwig's celebrated comedic works is published by Smith and Kraus

Sherman has lived in London where he continues songwriting and is actively writing novels and gallery quality paintings. Richard M. Sherman, who lives in Beverly Hills, says his life is writing songs.

The National Symphony Orchestra (NSO) presents The Trumpet of the Swan: A Novel Symphony starring John Lithgow, based on the book by E.B. White, adapted for the stage by Marsha Norman, with music by Jason Robert Brown, who will also conduct.
