What's a high school prom without the undead? As part of its seventh season, Unexpected Stage Company presents the campy, rollicking musical Zombie Prom, celebrating 20 years since its off-Broadway debut.

Broadway producer Jenna Segal joins forces with the Tony Award-winning Signature Theatre in their continued effort to highlight the work of exciting female playwrights.

Synetic Theater invites you to the 10th annual Vampire's Ball on Friday, October 28. This year, the Vampire's Ball will follow Synetic's hellish adaptation of Dante's Inferno. After traveling the nine circles of hell with Dante, guests will dance the night away with music courtesy of Resident Composer and Halloween DJ, Konstantine Lortkipanidze.The event will include an open bar, light appetizers, and a costume contest with fabulous Synetic prizes! This production is recommended for ages 16 & up for violence and partial nudity.

Those people building ambitious commercial haunted houses this month might just call if quits when they see how much they've been outdone by the inventiveness and intent of Synetic Theater's 'Dante's Inferno.'

On October 13th, 2016, Creative Loafing will present a major menswear fashion show, "In a Breast Pocket," benefiting the Shimberg Breast Center at St. Joseph's Women's Hospital. The event will begin at 6:30 p.m. and take place at CL Space (1911 N. 13th St., Ste. W200 in Tampa).

Audrey Cefaly's new play THE GULF is an exciting premiere to say the least. As funny as it is powerful, as tender as it is passionate, THE GULF reveals a pair of volatile lovers whose relationship is as sharp as a fishing knife - pointed and dangerous. As directed by Joe Calarco, the play is also a duo-de-force for the actresses who bring the love, sex and honky tonk to a small fishing boat floating aimlessly in the Gulf of Mexico. IT is also a tour de force for two actresses: Rachel Zampelli and Maria Rizzo light up the stage with fire and gritty realism.

The Beat Is Dead is the new solo debut LP from Nina Diaz. Revered for fronting Girl In A Coma, the latina punk band famously nurtured by Joan Jett and toured with Morrissey + Tegan and Sara, the album is a rib-rattling collection of vibrant vocals and poignant prose.

Service is thrilled to announce their production of Bernard Pomerance's THE ELEPHANT MAN (with original cello composition by Josh Bradford), Directed by Shawn Gann and starring Jason Leyva, Pat Watson, and Sara Lovett; and, featuring *Bert Pigg, and Chris Messersmith. The performance will premiere at The Firehouse Theatre on September 29 at 8:00pm. It will run through October 15 today, Friday and Saturday evenings.

Columbus Children's Theatre will present Sleepy Hollow: A Musical Tale October 20 - November 6 at Park Street Theatre located at 512 Park Street. Book, Music and Lyrics by Janet Yates Vogt & Mark Friedman. This production is directed by Chris Rusen.

MainStage Irving-Las Colinas, in association with the ICT MainStage Guild, will celebrate the beginning of the 2016-17 Razzle Dazzle season with a special, one-night-only dinner cabaret, LAUGHING MATTERS, starring Dallas/Fort Worth theatre favorite B.J. Cleveland. The cabaret will take place onstage at the Irving Arts Center's Dupree Theatre (3333 N MacArthur Blvd, Irving, TX 75062) on Friday, October 21. Doors and bar open at 6:00 p.m. with dinner served at 6:30 p.m. and preshow music by Thomas Lightfoot and his band. The cabaret performance will begin at 7:30 p.m. 

NBC Sports continues its presentation of Sunday Night Football this week as the Dallas Cowboys and rookie QB Dak Prescott host Alshon Jeffery and the Chicago Bears at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas. Coverage begins with Football Night in America this Sunday, September 25, at 7 p.m. ET on NBC.

St. Ann's Warehouse will welcome back In Your Face New York, the new episodic live show and podcast that aims to capture the city's energy through sketches, songs and monologues by an array of New York artists and writers, for a new edition on October 23.

Boston Lyric Opera (BLO) opens its 40th season with Calixto Bieito's bold staging of Georges Bizet's Carmen, the largest production the company has mounted in its four decades. Set in the arid earthiness of post-Franco Spanish North Africa, Carmen is a powerful account of a defiantly free-spirited woman and her obsessive lover. With the familiar story and iconic score that opera buffs and casual opera-goers alike know and love, BLO's Carmen opens September 23 for four performances through October 2. The run marks the company's debut at the Boston Opera House whereCarmen will be the first professional opera produced at the venerable theater since 1991.

The Celtic Rock Fusion Powerhouse, Founded By Tim Smith in 1996, Will Perform at Arlington's Levitt Pavilion Sept. 23, Do 40 Shows at the State Fair of Texas (Sept. 30-Oct. 7) and Say Their Final Goodbyes to Fans at the Kessler Theater Nov. 18.

THE VOICE WITHIN, written by and starring Broadway's Lindsey Brett Carothers (Bring it On, WICKED (National Tour)) will return to The Duplex for two performances this fall after its acclaimed world premiere on August 7.  The newly announced dates are Today September 22nd at 9:30, and Sunday October 9th at 7pm.  The show is directed by Marshall Pailet with music direction by Andrea Grody. Drew Fornarola and Madame Mathieu Productions will produce.
