OWN: Oprah Winfrey Network will air a special tribute in memory of Dr. Maya Angelou with encore presentations including “Super Soul Sunday, “Oprah's Master Class,” “The Oprah Winfrey Show,” and the network premiere of “Oprah Winfrey's Legends Ball” this Sunday, June 1 from 5 p.m. – 10 p.m. ET/PT on OWN. The Queen of Soul, Aretha Franklin wants to try her hand at musical theater by making her Broadway debut in the Tony-nominated production of AFTER MIDNIGHT.

Electric Youth (EY), the international touring ensemble of singer-dancers trained at the Franklin School for the Performing Arts (FSPA), will perform at Showcase Live at Patriot Place in Foxboro on Friday, June 13 at 7:30 p.m. The event is a Bon Voyage Concert for Electric Youth, coming just days before the ensemble departs on June 19th for a three-week concert tour of Austria and Italy. The group's 11th European tour will include a return Fourth of July engagement at Aviano Air Force Base to entertain U.S. Troops and families stationed abroad.

Due to resounding praise from critics and an enthusiastic reception from audiences, Berkeley Repertory Theatre announces that Brian Copeland's 10th anniversary presentation of Not a Genuine Black Man will extend for a month. The critically acclaimed show recounts Copeland's compelling and moving story of growing up black in the 1970s in San Leandro, California, a city once nationally known as one of the most racist in America. With wit and heartfelt passion, he explores the themes of racial identity and, ultimately, belonging. Directed and developed in part by David Ford, Not a Genuine Black Man will now run through June 28 for an additional eight performances at the Theatre's Osher Studio.
