Geffen Playhouse has just announced the cast for its West Coast premiere production of Barbecue, written by Obie and Helen Hayes Award winner Robert O'Hara. Tony nominee Colman Domingo directs the production starring Yvette Cason, Dale Dickey, Omar J. Dorsey, Frances Fisher, Kimberly Hebert Gregory, Travis Johns, Elyse Mirto, Maya Lynne Robinson, Heather Alicia Simms and Rebecca Wisocky.

Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra And Cincinnati Pops Announce Two World Tours In 2017

The Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra (CSO) and the Cincinnati Pops announced highly-anticipated international tours to Asia in March of 2017 with six performances in Hong Kong, Beijing, Shanghai and Taiwan, as well as the CSO undertaking an extensive, eleven-concert tour across Europe over three weeks in August and September. The Orchestra will be on tour for five total weeks in 2017, performing in 12 cities across seven different countries.

Jazzmobile block party is the grand finale to the museum's Summer with Satchmo season.  It's a free, family-friendly event featuring art-making workshops sponsored by the Queens Museum and hula hoop fun beginning at 4:00 pm.  At 5:30 pm, Fulanito, the Latin Grammy nominated Merengue band will perform and warm up the crowd.  Downbeat for Steve Kroon and the Latin Jazz Sextet is at 7:00 pm.   The museum will be open late until 8:30 pm.
