Grammy® Award-winning singer/songwriter and Broadway producer Alicia Keys and cast members of STICK FLY will greet and sign autographs for ticket buyers in the lobby of the Cort Theatre (138 W. 48th Street) on Wednesday, November 16 from 12:00 p.m. to 1 p.m. This event celebrates the Broadway debut of Lydia R. Diamond's critically-acclaimed play. Directed by Kenny Leon, the production begins performances this Friday, November 18 in advance of a Thursday, December 8 opening.

Upcoming Theatre Communication Group Member Shows - 11/13 for Washington, DC

The Drama Desk and the Fordham University Theatre Program will present a special panel discussion at 6:30 PM on Sunday, November 13th, titled 'Anatomy of a Breakout,' reflecting the remarkable trend of breakthrough productions and breakout performances on the New York stage.

The 2011/12 Arena Stage Student Playwrights Project invites all students in fifth through 12th grades in the District of Columbia and its neighboring counties to enter into competition an original 10-minute play. Entries must be delivered to Arena Stage by 5:00 p.m. on Friday, December 2, 2011.

Every year, hundreds of D.C.-area military families must spend the Thanksgiving holiday away from loved ones. In gratitude for their service, Arena Stage is inviting wounded warriors, service men and women, and military families with deployed service members to a complimentary Thanksgiving dinner and performance at the Mead Center for American Theater (1101 Sixth St., S.W.) Friday, November 25. Arena Stage is working through each of the military service branch's Warrior Transition Units to distribute the tickets. It is anticipated that more than 260 guests will experience this special evening.

November has over 60 more openings in the professional, community, universities, and children's theaters in the DC/MD/VA area. Rattlestick Playwrights Theater has announced the cast and creative team for the world premiere of HORSEDREAMS, a new play written by and featuring award-winning and Pulitzer Prize finalist, Dael Orlandersmith. The third production of the company's 17th season, performances of HORSEDREAMS will begin Wednesday, November 9th at Rattlestick Theater (224 Waverly Place - off Seventh Avenue South, between Perry & West 11th Streets). The official opening night is set for Thursday, November 17th. The production is scheduled to run through December 11th. Gordon Edelstein directs.

Roundabout Theatre Company (Todd Haimes, Artistic Director), in association with Damian Arnold, is pleased to announce the Broadway premiere of Marc Camoletti's classic farce Don't Dress For Dinner, adapted by Robin Hawdon, directed by John Tillinger. The cast will be announced soon. Don't Dress For Dinner will begin previews on March 30 and open officially on April 26, 2012 at the American Airlines Theatre on Broadway (227 West 42nd Street). This will be a limited engagement through June 17, 2012.
