Threatening weather forecasts of freezing rain, snow and otherwise wintry conditions notwithstanding, Nashville's White Orchard Theatre tonight debuts Feels Colder Than Love, premiering Thursday, January 21, at the Ensworth School Auditorium Black Box Theater, running through January 29.

Sacha Wares Returns To Almeida Theatre to Direct World Premiere of BOY, April 5

Sacha Wares will be returning to Almeida Theatre to direct the world premiere of Leo Butler's new play Boy, after her directorial success with the critically acclaimed production, Game, by Mike Bartlett, in 2015.  Boy will run at the Almeida Theatre from 5 April until 28 May 2016, with press night on 12 April 2016. Director Sacha Wares is joined by a formidable creative team, including two powerhouse contemporary designers, Miriam Buether for set design (Wild Swans, Sucker Punch, My Child, Generations), who worked with Sacha on Game at the Almeida in 2015, and Ultz for costume (Jerusalem, Hobson's Choice, Fallout, Pied Pier), who will be collaborating with Miriam, on design, for the very first time. Further creative credits include movement by Leon Baugh, lighting by Jack Knowles and sound by Gareth Fry.

Gamut Theatre to Present THE SEAGULL

Gamut Theatre Group's Harrisburg Shakespeare Company (HSC) opens Anton Chekhov's The Seagull on March 12, 2016 on the Select Medical Mainstage at the New Gamut Theatre located at 15 N. 4^th Street in downtown Harrisburg. The box office and bar will open at 6:30 p.m. and the play will begin at 7:30 p.m. Tickets to the performance are $30 for adults, $25 for seniors/military, and $15 for students and can be purchased in advance at www.GamutTheatre.org. Following the performance, a reception will be held where guests can meet and mingle with the cast and crew while enjoying refreshments. Tickets to the opening night reception are sold separately.

Syracuse Stage to Present STUPID F---ING BIRD, 1/20-2/7

Syracuse Stage begins 2016 with an irreverent comedy Stupid F***ing Bird, a contemporary mash-up of Anton Chekhov's modern classic The Seagull. Written by Aaron Posner and directed by Howard Shalwitz, the play comes to Syracuse Stage from the Woolly Mammoth Theatre in Washington, D.C. where it won two Helen Hayes Awards and performed to sold out houses.

 Set in the late nineteenth century on a country estate, The Seagull, written by Russian dramatist Anton Chekhov, tells the touching love story of a young writer, Konstantin, and his quest for a burgeoning actress Nina, and the romantic and artistic conflicts that ensue. The play beautifully portrays the fulfillment as well as disappointments of life.

2nd Annual Celebration of American Circus Awards with Honoree Bill Irwin to be Held in January

To honor and spotlight the distinguished achievements in the American circus arts, Circus Now together with the Big Apple Circus, in association with Executive Producer and Director Jonathan S. Cerullo, JSC Theatricals, is proud to present the 2nd Annual Celebration of American Circus at the Big Top at Lincoln Center on January 5, 2016 at 8pm.
