Dialogue with Three Chords(D3C) and BrooklynONE(bkONE) Productions team to present 'The Krampus' from playwright and D3C co-founder Stephen Gracia as part of bkONE's 'Holiday Weekend Experience' series of programming. The original play, directed by D3C co-founder Michael LoPorto, shows the largely unknown side of the Santa Claus mythos. A group of friends bond at a bar on Christmas Eve and exchange stories of their childhood fears of 'The Krampus,' a real figure from Norse mythology who functioned as an evil-twin to the benevolent Saint Nicholas. The darkly funny show also features original music in the form of bawdy holiday carols. The show runs for three performances: Today, December 13 at 8:30pm and Saturday & Sunday, December 14 and 15 at 8pm at bkONE's home at St. John's, 461 99th Street in Brooklyn, NY. Admission is $5 and if you bring a new, unwrapped toy with you to donate to Toys for Tots you'll receive a gift from the playwright. Saints and shepherds; sailors and bartenders; killers and corpses-- the second volume of the season-long Dialogue with Three Chords (D3C) play 'Shipyard Souls & A Compass Rose' gets down to some bloody business. The short plays in this performance revisit characters from last month's show, and embark on a cross-country trip with a decidedly unpleasant Christmas present. Written by Stephen Gracia and directed by Michael LoPorto, present the next part of what will form 'Shipyard Souls & A Compass Rose,' a full-length play, as part of their residency at Mr. Dennehy's on 63 Carmine Street in Greenwich Village at 8pm tonight, September 26.

BrooklynONE will introduce Shakespeare to Bay Ridge in the area's first ever festival of Shakespeare in the Park. The festival caters to audiences of all ages, specifically reaching out to the children of Brooklyn by offering face painting and mask making in addition to other art projects before presenting classic scenes from many of Shakespeare's best-known works. The festival starts at 1pm today, August 3, in Owl's Head Park (use the 68 street entrance) in Brooklyn.

Dialogue with Three Chords (D3C) teams with BrooklynONE productions (bkONE) to present "The Collective Consciousness of Connected Memories (like times B4)." The anthology of consist of short one acts plays dealing with dreams, our memories and their effect on our experiences. "Collective Consciousness… " includes two scenes from playwright Aaron Jaros, a scene by the late BrooklynONE co-founder Tom Kane, and marks the playwriting debut of BrooklynONE Artistic Director Anthony Marino. The performance is on June 27th at 8pm at Mr. Dennehy's on 63 Carmine Street in Manhattan. Admission is free and donations are welcome.
