The new nonfiction book, 'WWI Crusaders: A band of Yanks in German-occupied Belgium help save millions from starvation as civilians resist the harsh German rule' (ISBN: 978-0990689386), is one of only 100 self-published books named to the prestigious Kirkus Reviews Best Books of 2018. Authored by Jeffrey B. Miller and published by Milbrown Press, it was released on Veterans Day 2018 to honor the 100th anniversary of the end of World War I.
As part of a continued effort of inclusion, and to improve the theatre experience for DFW patrons of all needs, Theatre Three is excited to announce an advanced assisted listening system, which replaces the group's decade-old system. This state-of-the-art equipment has been paid for by an anonymous donor and debuted during Theatre Three's December production of Solstice. The system will now be available for all Theatre Three mainstage productions.
In association with Stanford Live, the San Francisco Early Music Society will present Cut Circle in three concerts of choral music by Josquin des Prez, Johannes Ockeghem and Guillaume Du Fay, February 8 10. Under the direction of Jesse Rodin, the ensemble will explore the theme of love as it was expressed in a range of 15th-century settings, blurring the line between the sacred and the secular.
Camp Equinox, Bozeman's oldest and biggest theatre day camp got their start back in 1996 at Headwaters Academy. From 50 campers that first year, Camp Equnox has grown to 300 kids over two sessions, now held at Bozeman Summit School.

'Bring it On' meets 'Dreamgirls' in the girl-group musical, 'Betty and the Belrays' by William Electric Black aka Ian Ellis James, which will be presented by Theater for the New City January 31 to February 17. The piece tells the story of three white female singers from Detroit who struggle to change a racially divided society by singing for a black record label. Book and lyrics are by William Electric Black. Music is by Black, Valerie Ghent (arranger/keyboards for Ashford & Simpson) and Gary Schreiner. Choreography is by Jeremy Lardieri. Director is Mr. Black.
Icon of justice and victims' rights advocate John Walsh joins America's leading true-crime network, Investigation Discovery, on their joint mission to track down fugitives on the run and find missing children with IN PURSUIT WITH JOHN WALSH. Each week, John Walsh leads viewers through unsolved violent crimes that urgently need to be closed – where time is of the essence and harnessing the power of ID's active and engaged audience could bring these criminals to justice. Joining John in every episode is his son, Callahan Walsh, who leads the operation on the ground, working in tandem with the community and local authorities to search for persons-of-interest. In partnership with the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC), the series will also feature two missing children each hour, providing age-progression photos and descriptions in the hopes that viewers can provide new leads to their whereabouts. Airing for 12 consecutive weeks, IN PURSUIT WITH JOHN WALSH will make its world premiere on Wednesday, January 16 at 10/9c on Investigation Discovery.
Passim announced that it has awarded $40,000 to 24 musicians through its Iguana Music Fund. The Iguana Music Fund awards gifts annually to musicians for career building projects and for projects that provide community service through music. Established in 2008 after an anonymous donor approached Passim with the idea to start a program to support local artists' career growth, the fund provides grants from $500 to $2,000 for musicians with a New England connection.

Coming soon to The DC Arts Center, Watergate... With Puppets is a new comedy that's exactly what it sounds like. Written by John-Nicholas Walsh and directed by Walsh and Kirsten Grady, a cast of four comic actors play dozens of 1970's political figures in an effort to tell the 'real' story of Puppet President Nixon's greatest scandal. However, this version of history is one you won't find on Wikipedia. Gerald Ford is convinced that he's Princess Margaret of England, the anonymous White House source called Deep Throat won't stop flirting with Bob Woodward, and Nixon's Chief of Staff keeps whacking everyone with a giant rubber fish.

Paul Taylor-Mills is delighted to announce MT Fest UK, a two-week festival of new musical theatre at The Other Palace from Monday 11 to Saturday 23 February 2019.
