The 5th Avenue's enormously popular Spotlight Night series, a free event that continues to attract record crowds, finishes up the 2009-2010 season on Monday, March 22 by focusing on the genius of Leonard Bernstein, composer of our two upcoming shows On The Town and Candide, and providing a sneak peek at the many events coming up in the city-wide Seattle Celebrates Bernstein! Stephen Sondheim's exquisite musical about art, life, and what artists draw from both, Sunday in the Park with George, opens at The 5th Avenue Theatre on April 23rd. This rarely-seen but much-lauded musical features an all-star Seattle cast (led by Broadway actor Hugh Panaro in the leading role of George), and the astonishing scenic design and computer animation effects created by Sam Buntrock and designers Tim Bird and David Farley.

Stars from the Broadway stage will travel to Seattle to participate in an evening of elegant cabaret to benefit the Broadway Bound Children's Theatre.
