Performances have begun for THE MOTHERF**KER WITH THE HAT by Stephen Adly Guirgis, starring Bobby Cannavale, Chris Rock, Elizabeth Rodriguez, Annabella Sciorra and Yul Vázquez. Directed by Anna D. Shapiro, this strictly limited 15-week engagement will open on Monday, April 11, 2011 at the Gerald Schoenfeld Theatre (236 West 45th Street, New York City).

Mix a Hitchcock masterpiece with a juicy spy novel, add a dash of Monty Python and you have the hilarious Tony Award-winning hit Alfred Hitchcock's 'The 39 Steps.' In Patrick Barlow's stage adaptation of the film, from the novel by John Buchan, a beautiful spy leaks a deadly secret to a man she's just met.

There is an embarrassment of riches on display in Tennessee Repertory Theatre's production of The 39 Steps - not the least of which is the cumulative effort of four of Nashville's finest actors showing off everything in their estimable bag of tricks to bring this enormously entertaining play to life. Add to those efforts another stunning set by Gary Hoff, Trish Clark's period-perfect costumes, Michael Barnett's gorgeous lighting and Paul Carrol Binkley's stellar sound design and you clearly have one of the season's most successful offerings, technically and artistically delivered.

Barefoot Theatre Company - an Off-Broadway theater company now in its 12th season - will present the New York premiere of Joseph Sousa's play TEETH OF THE SONS, with previews beginning April 20 prior to an official press opening of April 22 at Cherry Lane Studio Theatre (38 Commerce Street) in Manhattan. THE MOTHERF**KER WITH THE HAT, the new play by Stephen Adly Guirgis starring Bobby Cannavale, Chris Rock, Elizabeth Rodriguez, Annabella Sciorra and Yul Vázquez, has announced a student rush ticket policy. Student rush tickets are $26.50 and available when the box office opens on the day of each performance. There is a limit of two tickets per person and a valid student ID is required. Tickets and locations are subject to availability.

In a recent interview with Broadway Beat, stage and screen star Bobby Cannavale went on the record about his latest project on the Great White Way, THE MOTHER FU**KER WITH THE HAT. Cannavale told Broadway Beat, 'I've been a fan of Stephen Guirgis' from the beginning. The first play I saw of his was over ten years ago, and I think that there's no other voice like him working in the theatre. He's a quintessential New York playwright.'

In a recent interview with Broadway Beat, comedian Chris Rock went on the record about making his Broadway debut in the new play THE MOTHER FU**KER WITH THE HAT. Rock told Broadway Beat, 'I just like this play so much. I like the fact that sometimes Broadway can be a little over the averages man's head, but this play is for evrybody. It works on so many levels. It's like the kinda play that could work at the Apollo or the Met. That's what i like to do with my stand up- have an act that works for everybody, and this play gets them all.'
